PC problem. halp? :(

every time i play ffxi with both my dial-up modem card + sound card enabled and actually get into the game to move around and stuff my computer reboots. does the same thing if i try to watch anything on youtube and stuff. any suggestions? i have switched the cards around to diff slots and still does it. haven't tried to split the cards up and put a slot between them because of 1 will be right under my video card (radeon 9550) which doesn't have any fan or anything that would block airflow or something. any help would be appreciated :/

Buy a USB modem, remove PCI modem, should eliminate what is probably an IRQ clash

Is it only in FF11 that you crash? Or is it in other online games? Could be a shitty driver for either the sound card or modem- or could be bad memory.

List the specs and OS of your system- sometimes low memory equals happy fun issues, esp. if you have to use a dialup manager program like AOHell or NetZero

ffxi only game i got installed now. it does it when streaming a vid on net also like youtube~ and pc pretty old compared to the new stuff~ just started it when i put in the modem. but i do get some error when i log from ffxi~

"the instruction at "0x0280x161" referenced memory at "0x091216d8" the memory could not be "read".

pc specs:

windows xp home SP3
amd athlon 64 3400+ 2.4ghz
1.5gb DDR pc3200
250gb hdd
radeon 9550 GPU
sound blaster audigy SE sound card

i tried to update modem driver through device manager/properties/update driver but says it couldnt find a better version~ and as for the sound card driver i use the driver on cd and never had any problem.

for connecting through dialup i use earthlink but i just have a normal dialup connection created in network connections for it i dont use their total access program yet.
