why cant there be any ffxi ls alliance recruitment![]()
This only works if your warlocks aren't amongst the lazy. Since the 'oh hey meeting stones are useful' patch I've met exactly one warlock who would fly themselves to the instance for the sake of summoning others.
Without that you're frustrated by the 30+ proto drakes and mammoths crowding the stone while 10 or more raid members say 'oh hey that summon didn't work because I was fishing/afk/fapping/staring blankly at my screen please resummon where's my resummon resummonplz c'mon guys.'
I'd make a DK on a server with ex-FFXI or current FFXI peoples, I don't care if it's alliance or horde... just no more PvP levelling please =/ once with my shaman was enough for one lifetime.![]()
Glad to see we've been getting some people interested and applying. :D
This is actually still somewhat tentative.
Up until Ulduar we only normally had one raid day a week where we'd pump 25:Naxx/Sarth2D/Maly in about 3.5h. Past that we didn't have to worry about anything else.
Now with Ulduar's release, and us still wanting to try to keep 3.0 25-mans on the schedule, we've been trying to figure out which days would work out best. We're not quite ready to fit Ulduar into one day, though we do aim to down the road (or the more likely minimum, being two days).
Believe me we're not keen on reserving every Saturday/Friday for events (one of the great parts of getting away from FFXI was eliminating that), but for now these days have been the most successful in returning the best attendance. As we progress though, we're anticipating that our schedule would consolidate into Wednesday + alternating between a Friday or a Saturday evening, and an optional group of 3.0 25-man runs early Sunday afternoon. This is still something we're discussing though.
But, that should shed a little more light on our schedule and plans for the future.
As Ice said, we have 0 main shadow priests currently. Only off-spec ones.
Having 1-3 mains or so would be awesome.
Lhexh gets angry when we're missing caster buffs.
I'm sure there are different sides of this spectrum, and I no doubt agree that both games have their fair share of incompetent players.
However I'm not speaking about trade, or forums, or anything like that. In running this guild with the others here, we've just seen far more immaturity, drama, assholes, etc, than we ever saw in FF or even read about in FF forums. I could elaborate further but, yeah... In the end we've just found the FFXI player mindset and idea of a guild is far better for maintaining a quality, successful, and high-performing guild than what we've seen with many WoW players.
We actually have like a task force of people to go beat the shit out of people ganking levelers in the guild lol.
Often if someone is getting ganked, and it's made known in guild, you'll have people coming to kick some ass.
Lol that's pro. I tend to attract trouble I find so your task force would have to be damn near on call 24/7I must have had horde coming out of their way to sit and camp my corpse almost daily in my exp horrors... ugh
I just thought of something, I thought the GMs enforce the whole RP thing on those servers?
no, the only thing that's really enforced are things like stricter naming conventions (i.e. not Hlysht - yes that's a real example, someone had to change their name from that)
However we have had a TON of GMs that RP on our server and frankly ... it's awesome.
So if I roll a troll DK do I get a social ginvite?
I'd be called Shuemon. Shue, mon.
Trolls are pretty cool.
Unfortunately, this post wasn't made to invite people to be social butterflies in our guild. We're looking for the classes specified for being serious and reliable raiders. Basically, casual players looking to come in shoot the shit need not apply.
Fair enough, lots of guilds like to have a social rank for non-raiders, but if that's not for you guys, not a big deal.
To clarify,
We don't just need priests and locks. We do need a couple more good healers and (generally) ranged dps. This also includes hunters, shamans etc. We have an abundance of plate dps so have the lowest need for that.
Not having caster buffs makes me a sad panda too...like, ele shammy/boomkin/mage buffs might account for 500dps or more for s.priest. Please tell me you has them! :D
We always have mages, usually have an ele shammy, but often don't have a boomkin (though we're anticipating one will be joining us soon).
Just as an update. We're still looking for healers.
Also, downed Vezax on 25man last night.
Giving this a bump, we lost a few main raiders to RL schedules and other crap. If you're interested follow the link!
