they selected people via e-mail based on your answers on your playstation.com profile. so far 1st & 2nd wave are only for the people that got selected via e-mail. Sony teased on MAG's forums that there will be additional ways to participate in the future.

Also, if you are going to the Penny Arcade Expo, there will be a live server to play on.

so.. first order of fail. update servers cannot handle two hundred some players all trying to update at the same time. Idk how many I've had to restart so far, but only about 10-20 people have been able to get through and actually play the game.

also, I do not have a capture card, but I may have to pick one up. been looking to do something like that for games.

It is linked with PS website though, so uses the same login, don't have to make new one, but it does keep track of how many times you have logged in to MAG forums, how many threads you have read etc.
