Lamps is not a poacher type of goal scorer like you're suggesting, a la Robbie Fowler or Ruud van Nistelroy. It's his long range shots that are deflected and end up wrong-footing the keeper. The "over-generalizatiom" must have some merit since a LOT of people make this "generalization".
He will take the penalties, yes. But I wouldn't say the majority of the set pieces he takes. Ballack, diving drogs, alex, etc all seem to find their way to take their fair share.

Certainly he's no RvN but he's almost always in a goal front position on his central runs looking for tap-ins.

In regards to his free-kicks, as someone who watches CFC consistently outside of the big 4 / CL matches, I would say for every 3 free kicks Chelsea gets, Lampard will take 2 and Drogba/Alex/Ballack will take 1. It's definitely over 50%.

I'll be pulling for Barca in the final because I'm just not a fan of Man U or the way they play the game, but I just can't see it happening. Consider the absence of Marquez (injury) and Abidal (suspension) on the backline. Put that together with a questionable Iniesta and Henry and I just don't think they can pull it off. I think it'll be alot of Barca possesion, like always lol, but I'm guessing a mistake or two at the back that are gonna really cost them.

With that being said, go Barca! I can't stand Ferg or Ronaldo.

Damn Man U's Defense and Back Mids played shocking, there marking was terrible, and it was almost as if they were scared to make any challenge at all.

Barca were on form, congrats to them, they do deserve it. Manchester Uniteds performance was absolutely shocking, there fans deserve alot better.

I was hoping for this to be the match of the decade, but unfortunately only one team brought there A game, and it wasnt my team.

Im not sad or anything now like, i watch it for the buzz i get during i match, anything after is to be accepted, would be exciting to see a vendetta match next year.
