You don't have to take my word for it. It's in every English book I've ever read. Right after the bit about past participles, it says "You could capitalize a word in a sentence to draw more attention to it, but it would mean one or more of three things. 1.) You're retarded. 2.) You didn't actually intend to do that but you are trying to safe face. 3.) You're retarded."

Then they usually have this little asterisk next to the word "retarded" and down at the bottom of the page it says something to the effect of "We do not mean mentally handicapped, but more so someone who is mentally incapable of making himself appear to have an IQ of 46 or higher. See also: Uryuu"
