I came.
I came.
I hope they hired enough GMs to sit one in each of the 32 zones on all servers. They could catch quite a few cheaters red-handed I imagine. A little purging, perhaps.
Or would the cheaters see the GM on their 3rd party apps and behave?
I didn't think that was possible, even with 3rd party apps.
Invisible GMs might show up in apradar, but they show up as playable characters (while visible at least) which are filtered out unless you toggle some options. Next time I know a GM is around I'll check.
I think you will get the ring only when you find the tablet for the very first time and you will get the second prize always when you turn in a tablet.
Even if you dispose of the kupo ring, you will only be able to get 1 in the entire game and I think that ring will be up permenantly for everyone to get whenever they get a their very first tablet.
So when people get their ring, the areas will die down a little I think and others will get a chance to get their ring.
I think the prizes are like this.
Ex:Found tablet in behemoth's dominion, This was my first tablet ever. I get a Kupofiend ring and a Behemoth Statue.
Ex.2: Found my second tablet ever in Valley of Sorrows, I do not get the kupofiend ring again, even if I disposed of the other one but I get the 2nd reward which lets say is the Aspid statue furniture.
Ex. 3: I find all 11 tablets 6 months later, I get a special Kupofiend Figurine furniture as seen in the screenshot.
I think it will work like that.
Given how everyone can "save the world" without it really impacting anyone else's progress in the story, I'm kind of wondering why they didn't do the same here. If you wanted the ring, simply collect all 11 tablets on your own while getting little clues from the moogle so you aren't running around all 32 zones blind. That way, everyone could get their ring if they wanted. Meanwhile, world status on signet bonus could simply hinge upon the total number of individual tablets turned in. If it's low, get one bonus, then go from there.
I didn't think anyone still thought like this, i mean it's an xp ring, not a kc or something. With the shift over the years towards more casual play for xp(ie lowered xp for 75, anniv/empress band/ lvl sync/colibri/ etc), i dont see why it would matter how many people get the moogle band. It's still going to take a long ass time to get 75 even with all 3 bands. 2 weeks of straight xp is still a long ass time, considering you could play any offline game fully in that play time most likely. The ring is too good for everyone to have it, is my guess (well, the 2 rings combined)
Short version, I still think only 11 people getting a week is very lame.
Not me, SE. They're already concerned of the speed it takes us to level a job to 75, so I guess they thought it is too much.
Yes, that is the conclusion I came up with. Maybe I should have added "I think" or "IMO" to the start of the sentence because I do not think of it as the absolute truth and it's not like I have any proof to back it up. Still, I think it's better than the "SE hates us so they won't let us all have it"- option. Do you have any better ideas?
I don't believe that SE has any major concerns regarding the time it takes to reach level 75. If they did, we would have seen some type of reaction to Astral Burning by now.
Personally, I like this new system. To the many players that will say it's not worth an hour of their time to run around a zone and look for the key items, THANK YOU! You are 1 less player that I have to compete with in order to try to obtain the ring.
However, the data-mined item entitlement complex is getting old.
I like this idea, but its going to have a bottleneck effect and make any antsy player full of spite...
Successful event is successful.
As I am typing this, the quest is set to begin in about 4 hours and change. I am excited to see if some hardcore scavengers (or hackers) will have the first ever round of mog tablets completed by the time I wake up about 3 hours after the start of the quest.
If not, it would be pretty awesome if I randomly stumble onto a tablet!
If it's 1AM PDT then the thing starts in two hours now..
So much for any NA or EU getting the ring.. unless you pull an all nighter.
