Wow I went through a phase when I did this, was years ago and i took a shower between kirin pops, and 2x w.legs dropped, I was wet naked and happy, picture it, love it etc... This happened again a month later and then i just randomly started showering and staying naked for claims when i would remember

I havent done it in like 2 years though, however now that you mention it, maybe i'll start doing it again...need something to help with haute drop rate.

As for FF in my life.

Have dropped or failed all my university courses 3 seperate semesters which resulted me me changing programs 3 times. Have broken up with 2 short term relationships because dating was really cutting into event time, I have 10% the social life i used to.

I skip family events all the time if they clash with game events, I found a job where I can play at work...fuck this game but I cant quit.

I'm currently studying psychology and plan to specialize in gaming addictions, or at least advertise that so that concerned parents will bring their fucked up kids to me, Ideally i'll convince some FFXI kids to quit and give me their accounts, need more relic.

One thing i have going though is that I have been reading and studying my major for around 10 years(its what i always wished to do) so even when i did not study i hade the shit burned into my head as it was.

No clue if I will ever quit the game, but HNM are out of my life for the most part. I might go back to them but only when it fits my time. not all day everyday. if it happens to be in the 3-4hrs i can log on, so be it. Im at like 900 days now about 400 being afk ~_~; left my system on for 2 weeks once when i went away lol. People see me on all the time, but that is because i do work from home.(>.>)

Not FFXI related, but someone was talking really loudly or playing music loudly or something, I can't remember, but I tried to reach down and turn the volume down like in a youtube video. It was earlier this week.

I also saw a license plate that had BLM on it today at Sherri's.

i failed one entire semester of my uni education cos of FFXI. strangely too busy doing sky (back then)..
have since learnt my lesson, but I still schedule my classes around my in-game events more than the other way round.

i used to play FFXI with music on, and then after a while i stopped, but whenever I was in the mog house, I would hallucinate that the mog house music was playing, for some reason...

good:
I started learning Japanese mainly because I wanted to be able to converse with JP in FFXI, and now I can speak it well enough to interact with JP in game, and IRL.

I learnt to organize my time IRL better thru FFXI (might have been possible thru other MMOs) cos I gradually saw efficiency in planning out the 'quests' I would do for the day irl.

Began playing in April/May '05 just before I went on exam leave for my GCSEs, spent the whole time doing absolutely no revision and grades suffered a lot. Got completely addicted over that summer and picked a different school to do my A levels at specifically so I could get away with skipping classes and not doing any work allowing me more time to play. Resulted in my grades after first year being terrible so I dropped out and decided to do a civil engineering course at college.

Worked out well for a while, got a job in construction but was working from 7:30am-6pm and driving 1hr~ eachway so ended up getting 2-4 hours sleep a night during week. This lead to me sleeping 12~ hours each day at the weekend and destroying most of the social life I had left at this point.

Began Uni course alongside the job but then the company went bust so I was left with 6 days a week and just ended up spending all my time on the game. Hard to find work at the moment, its been 6 months now and I have only just found something permenant (been doing a lot of temp work in various areas) and been slowly building my social life back up again but it often crosses my mind how different life would've been if I never started playing.

Apart from all of that I've often woken up after 2 hours of sleep and wondered what job I should go to work/uni, suffered from an extremely stiff neck for about 2 months at one point, starting to say "lol" in conversation then trying to disguise it. Joining a more serious HNM ls and eventually ended up leading it has made me an asshole and whilst I try to keep it under control in real life, I don't exercise any restaint in game and often forget there are real people behind each char.

FFXI is my dirty little secret, none of my friends know just how much time I spend on it and I lie about it a lot.

Worst I did irl was schedule my classes around FFXI. I think the funniest moment was when I was shopping with a friend of mine, and some guy yelled "HOLLA AT ME BOYYYYY" to his friend in another aisle, so my friend yelled back "SRY BRAH MY WHITE MAGE ISN'T HIGH ENOUGH". I was LOLing so hard, but looking back it's a bit obnoxious. xD

Having failed to breach the defenses of the Transport Security Administration in time, I was directed to the apparatus.

I traded the item "booking number" to the apparatus.

The apparatus told me to talk to the NPC "Miguel" to obtain the item "confirmation number."

I traded the confirmation number to the apparatus to obtain the key item "seat reservation" and the item "boarding pass."

All of this in the middle of terminal 1 at O'Hare.

I had a dream... Once I was at Khimaira, about 4 LS's camping 50+people ect ect I was solo on PLD and I claim, I hold and while holding I find out its glitched so where it isnt attacking. I kill after about 10 hours and x5 hauteclaire drop. I get mine and sell the rest while makeing 70mil ;(
