Casket Gear drop rate altered?

I've gotten THREE pairs of Gothic hands when I did Pld 50 > 60 there... was frantically shouting to invite someone to come pick them up.. both depopped.

0/2 weeks + in Behe before I said fuck that stupid shit.

1/1 Daedalus Hammer randomly doing FoV's in VoS with a friend so he could leech skillups on Rdm 58.

Also of interesting note, I've made ~30k gil in straight gil drops alone from the demons, averaging 65g a kil. That's ~460 demons and a handful of gigas (and does not include the spree on ghosts, ahriman, skeletons, weapons, a single ice elemental, and 2 shadow dragons). I think this is SE's answer to fixing gil economy. Make players farm beastmen for items that 'never' drop (like, say, ACP...)

I got well over 75k from the gigas[50k gil +25k for 5x lumbers], so maybe SE trying to do that ;x

I've killed about 80 Evil Eyes, 30 Demons, a ghost, 4 weapons, a few skeletons and about 25 Giants in Xarcabard. I have seen.... 3 blue caskets. Fuck me.

I spent almost 4 months trying to get Herder's Subligar. I'd do 5-10 hour treasure hunts at a time and still get nothing.

I've quit for the time being... it simply isn't worth the time invested for mid-level gear that will be actually used for substantially less time than it took to acquire it. Something SE might think about.

For those interested, I killed the demons near the ulegurand zone. There are quite a few there, and generally they will repop in time for continuous killing. I feel also as though there is a higher incidence of casket spawning, but that might be due to faster/continuous killing.

All farming was done on drg/whm.

EDIT: I'm sure everyone has a funny/delicate process in guessing the numbers. I usually get it right but not when clues come out retarded. I suppose it's a judgement of when to just guess the numbers rather than getting another hint.

I wonder what the probability of getting the right number would be with 6 guesses if you didn't get any clues at all and just kept picking halfway between the range of values given by the high/low indications from your previous guesses. Or if there's an even better strategy than that like in that puzzle about dropping marbles off of a building.

i'm unsure groundskeepers in sky can even drop chests... over the past week my friends and I have farmed/killed Despot 13 times and have yet to see a single blue or gold chest drop. I just wrote it off to groundskeepers (or maybe despot ph) not dropping chests, but idk.

Got my desired items thanks to the sweet fucking update, and loads of gil in tow, yes I was killing very fast, and I want to get my desired items before the enhancements go away (and then I will have to check what are on):

Rambler's Gaiters
Gothic Sabatons
Herder's Subligar (slightly disappointed it's not the N.Legs model as I initially thought it was, was the icon changed?!)
Firefly (for when I level COR, will throw away when better gun comes along)
Bronze Bullet Belt thing (for COR and to make gil I suppose, since I'll move on from Bronze to whatever is next on COR)

Thinking about the MP Drain staff for SMN, but I don't think I fight enough mobs (on SMN) to justify hunting it down for now. Might hunt down the blind ring and that should make life complete.

Apparently people not in the party/zone when the chest pops can't grab stuff, as we found out when the person we were farming for warped to pick someone up.

Mass farmed while the Moogle thingy was in effect. Brown caskets drop a lot more frequently, finally got Herder's Subligar after months. Unfortunatly, this won't work in sky though.

I was randomly skilling up club in Yhoat last night for about 3 hours, saw about 25 brown caskets and popped around 20 of those. Got a whole bunch of stuff out of them but nothing decent at all. Drop rate on the items in caskets seems like utter crap.

I sometimes solo on BST in Sky, in 6 merits worth of flamingoes and pots I have seen a total of 5 or 6 brown caskets up there. Only decent item was a dragonfruit, lol. I think I know where Sundi can stick that.

Randomly picked up a Protect Earring on my first casket in Tahrongi Canyon yesterday on my alternate. Piestle I randomly got (with no desire or intent to) after 2-3 levels in Buburimu Peninsula XPing SCH. And it SUCKS. The proc rate is horrible.

Anyone with info on the mini shiva claws in Qufim? Otherwiki says proc rate is high.
