Drapion is a pretty evil pokemon. I'm gonna have to breed for a good Skorupi cause catching them in the Great Marsh was hell. One of the daily pokemon there, and I swear everything you catch in safari zone type places has a 99% chance of having crap nature+ability. I'm always scared there cause I just know I'm going to see a shiny and the mfer is going to run...

I freaking love Gliscor though, hes my main pokemon currently. Wish he was shiny ._. nice blue color. Gotta love a flying type that is immune to electric attacks. Probably why I'll end up using this Mudkip over my Piplup for my water type. That Gligar is pretty good, the only way he'd really be better was if he was Adamant. I had an Adamant one, but he had Sand Veil which is kinda meh for Gliscor.

Can you hatch togepi egg in the pokewalker or you need to keep it in game?

I had that happen twice in R/S/E. Needless to say I stay away from the Safari zone whenever possible.

I'm trying to hatch a shiny Beldum and my god it takes awhile to hatch. Looked it up and it's about 10k steps. Got 1 full box so far with them.

Didn't realize people actually tried for shiny pokemon... Quite the task!

I'm trying to "perfect" a Lucario at the moment. Got a Modest one and evolved it at lv2, about halfway done with EVs, still need to get some berries to reset a few, though.

    Atm I'm using:

    Adamant Tyranitar
    Adamant Gyarados
    Adamant Dragonite
    Adamant Garchomp
    Jolly Weavile
    HM Fly bitch

And currently training a Modest Empoleon, Modest Lucario, and kind of leveling all three G/S starters. I don't ever plan to play competitively but I like to build my party as if it was going to compete. All of my pokemon LOOK SO COOL BROHAM

I really want a Sp. Att. rock move for Lucario to counter Flying type, but I guess I'll settle for Ice Beam.

Garchomp is awesome, but it's almost always better with a Jolly nature. For all intents and purposes though, it won't make a big difference unless you're playing against people with perfect IVs and EVs, Smogon rulesets and the like.

Edit: As for a Sp.Atk Rock move for Lucario, your only option is to use breeding to get Hidden Power Rock.

Yeah Jolly and Timid are quite sexy natures. I gave my Garchomp Dragon Claw back when Diamond was released, but after trying Outrage out on Dragonite, I've fallen in love... Such a brutal attack.

Smogon is a glorious source, but I was curious, what exactly makes Garchomp "Uber" over Salamence, Tyranitar, etc.?

Also, grinding BP for Vacuum Wave stinks. I guess it'll be worth it, though.

I used garchomp in pearl/platinum and he was pretty tight. Solid dragon pokemon. Tyranitar is also still a pretty good choice to use, though.

f garchomp seriously... so glad they put him in uber catagory finally >>

I just follow cookie cutter version of Lucario right now with the swords dance/extreme speed/ice punch/close combat

    I got a Jolly Riolu I might save for that build, figured I'd roll with Modest this time since my whole team is physical;

Does breeding a shiny pokemon with a normal pokemon still have a 1/60something chance at producing a shiny pokemon or was that only for the 2nd generation

Pretty sure they removed that feature, and replaced it with the Masuda method eventually. =/ I can tell ya for sure it doesn't work in D/P/Pt but can't say in HG/SS cause I haven't started those yet.

I was just wondering cuz I thought of breeding my shiny zubat with gligar. Then I looked them up, and the 2 aren't compatible so fuck.

Doh! That sucks. I'm having a hell of a time trying to get an Adamant Riolu with Inner Focus. 3 boxes so far and only 1 Adamant one and it had Steadfast... Steadfast isn't horrible, but I'd much rather not flinch at all than speed up when I do flinch. Stupid mutt >_>

Fuck, I don't know what Sp. Att. to teach Lucario to counter flying. His Hidden Power is Psychic, so that's out of the question. I might just have to settle with Water Pulse to counter Fire and use Shadow Ball on flying and settle with neutral dmg... Any suggestions?

Shadow Ball would be useless on anything Flying/Normal, which makes up a good portion of flying pokemon.

Maybe dark pulse? Only issue would be steel/flying I believe, plus as a bonus it can possibly flinch. My friend's Lucario has been known to mess me up with dark pluse on occasion.

I'm not a big fan of SP Lucario myself (I'm addicted to Extreemspeed :3), but I'd go with something like this:

    Choice Specs/Life Orb

    Aura Sphere
    Shadow Ball
    Vacuum Wave
Hidden Power Ice / Dragon Pulse / Calm Mind

Aura Sphere + Shadow Ball are unresisted for every type combo. HP Ice is for flying types and Dragons. Dragon Pulse is there if you're unlucky IV wise- its also very sexy for Kingdras. Can chose between Specs or Orb depending on your play style. Using an Espeon to Pass it Calm Minds/Subs would be wiser than giving itself Calm Mind imo, but following the Stat Booster/3 move template works for a lot of 'Mons (Gyarados comes to mind). For EVs, I'd go 252/252/4 SpA/Spd/HP

He's fast, has a huge movepool and the attack stats to back it up, great typing and on top of that he has Sand Veil, which gives him a boost to Evasion which otherwise isn't available by Smogon rules, since things like Double Team aren't allowed.

Yeah, it was removed. I remember reading something about them making it harder to get shiny pokemon on top of that in HG/SS, but that may have just been a matter of reducing the ability to abuse RNG with the Poketech and all that.
