I think I'm gonna' trade over my pokemon from Soul Silver to Platinum and restart Soul Silver again for the hell of it <3

Still my favorite Pokemon game, though I've grown attached to the Platinum series too.

Platinum was pretty damn good, not going to lie. I've got nearly 100 hours in that game, which is pretty low considering after I beat the elite 4, I didn't bother with the battle tower stuff. I went straight into chaining shinies, which never worked for me..........

Quick tip for people that are trying to catch shiny's with good natures (or pokemon with good natures in general)- If you have a pokemon with the Synchronize ability, if it is the lead in your party, wild pokemon will have a 50% chance of having that same ability. Pokemon that have Synchronize are:

Mew(lol)
Espeon
Umbreon
Abra family
Ralts family
Natu family

A bit late now, but about the whole WEP/WPA thing. WPA is available on the DSi, but games still can't be played in WPA on it even if you do have a DSi. Heres a link to the source (not the best but still) and a snippet of it:

The DSi can connect to WPA when it browses the internet. However it still cannot play games when connected to WPA. This is because the ports the game data has to travel through are different to the ones needed to access the internet. WPA usually blocks the ports required for online gameplay.

forgot how much dratini blows at the start. if it wasn't for dragon rage he'd never kill anything. pays off at the end though once he fully evolves.

sitting with croconaw, kadabra and dratini atm, how do i go about getting ahold of entei for my fire pokemon? I'm thinking he might perform better than an arcanine, but it's a toss up between him and ho-oh.

Random encounter in HG/SS. Entei and Raikou both are roamers, and I don't think the National Dex is required for them to appear. Can't say for sure as I haven't started yet on HG/SS so maybe someone else can elaborate on the need for National Dex.

Fast Ball. But even then, they're an incredible bitch to catch, I've had Raikou running around at 1% and slept for days now and he just won't stay caught for more than 1 tick in an Ultra Ball, and keeps breaking out at the last second on Fast Balls.

Dusk Ball @ Nighttime is 4x total catch rate which is twice that of ultra balls. ^^ Same catch rate as Fast balls, but I'm guessing they are easier to come by, and work with 4x rate on things that don't roam granted it's nighttime or in a cave.
