What, do they have people going up and down monitoring the halls with a wifi sniffer? Would be pretty hard to prove it was your connection that used it, as long as you only plugged it in while you were battling/trading or whatever.

Ugh im about to stop evening attempting to level Pikachu, he just horrible. Light ball equipped and he gets one shotted if his first move doesn't one shot, which is usually doesn't again anything that matters.

idk my raichu is lv.62, never really had any complaints about him. I did grind him on water mobs to ensure 1 shot thunderbolts, though.

We're not allowed to make access points either.. but I do find it strange that the WiFi provided is password protected. Usually they just register mac addresses for all devices that connect to their network. What you can do is use a router (regardless of whether or not its allowed) and clone your main PC/Laptop's mac address onto it then you will be able to connect as many devices as you need (DS, Wii, PS3, blah blah). Only way I've seen to get around the bullshit on campus.

Well, the connection itself isn't "protected", but you have to open a website which will bring up a login screen, where you put in uni ID and PW. Doesn't the DS have a browser now or something? Might work, i dunno <.<; guess it's worth trying

So, I caught a Kangaskhan from Pokewalker before the first Gym. I usually don't use Normal-type Pokemon at all when I'm playing through the storyline, but I'm actually amazed what a powerhouse this thing is.
It has pretty much demolished every Gym (just beat the fourth one) thanks to it's massive Attack stat. Funniest was the Ghost Gym; thanks to Kangaskhan's ability (Scrappy; Normal type moves work on Ghosts) it pretty much destroyed everything without even breaking a sweat. :D
And it can learn Surf too :D

Well, I wanted to try out the PokeWalker so I just caught the first Pokemon I found (Metapod), transfered it to the PokeWalker, picked the first Route (Refreshing Field) and Kangaskhan was the first Pokemon that popped up with the Radar.

Also, I keep having a hard time at all the gyms. Its prolly because I pick pokemon to use that I just want to evolve, but I figured they would at least put up enough fight for Cyndaquil and Gyarados to finish them off.

Lightning is super effective vs. water............ so it's an easy grind since you're one shotting pokemon... You do remember that pokemon have elemental strengths and weaknesses ya?

Against steel: Fight, Fire and Ground (I admit I had to check, I only remembered Fire and Ground :D)
Against ice: Fire, Fight, Rock, Steel
