You can buy almost all of the evolutionary items with Pokathelon points, which, for me, are easy to get if you can play the minigames well enough. Certain stones can be bought on certain days, and some only after you get to Kanto.

Yep they ruin it for me as well. I would guess its because they are immature little shits and don't care for trading at all. There might be some lucky finds who actually try to find something reasonable to trade with, but the majority are just idiots.

So I promised myself In my legit copy of SS I'd stop power grinding before GYm leaders to make it more challenging, man What a rush that is, I just beat Bugsy and Barely at that, That Scyther with U-turn is a Power house, One shotted my elekid and kangaskhan. All I had left was My Chikorita, and LOL super effect to everything, and still won thanks to My Dratini's Thunder wave beforehand.

So happy I got a Pokewalker, Kangaskhan,Gastly,Elekid and Dratini

Ugh fucking bug catching contest, always get in 2nd place idk how to win this. One of the npc's said the one you catch has to be full HP, so I caught a nincanda lvl 32 full HP and still lost to a kriketune. How else to get evo stones!

What stone are you looking for? I've got a ton of them from Platinum while trying to mine heart scales and colored shards.

I think what happens is people Pokesav up a really sloppy (like caught in a cherish ball) lv100 legendary they ask for and trade it so they can get the "legit" poke the person is trading. I don't bother with the GTS for these reasons.

Just tried Elite Four. Got to Lance, beat all of his three bullshit Dragonites, but still lost to his last Pokemon; Charizard. -_-
My Pokemon were leveled 38 - 42... and I only had five pokemon because I never leveled a sixth one because I hate gimping my team with bad HMs (Fly, Rock Smash etc). Guess I should just go grind. /sigh

What's always bothered me is how they got all the non-native gen legendaries in their pokedex to even ask for them in the first place. Maybe it's just me, but if I had bothered going to the events and getting a Darkrai/Shaymin/Arceus, I wouldn't be asking for one on GTS period, let alone for a level 1 Gible. Is there something I'm missing that lets you ask for pokemon you've never seen?

But you can't ask for something unless you have it in your pokedex, meaning you have to have seen it in your game, not battling friends or even in the battle towers. Otherwise starters from all gens would be really easy to get with GTS, just breed yours and offer the baby up for trade.

Eh fly isn't too bad, I usually teach it to someone on my main team. I hate the other HM's though, rock smash, strength and cut all suck. Well strength isn't too bad but it isn't that great either. Fly you can at least avoid maybe a bad move or so.

Yeah I don't know how they are able to request for those pokemon. I can't even request for those legendaries cause I don't have em. Like someone said before they all seem to be kids... who use pokesav and are retarded lol. That only way I can see them being able to request it, if they have pokesav it in the past.

Oh God, that reminds me... During Thanksgiving last year, my mom was hosting for a bunch of people. One of her friends had his 13-ish year old granddaughter with Autism with him. She brought her DS and was playing Pokemon, so I offered to play against her. She had the pretty standard kids 5 'legendaries plus starter' team, I had my random assortment of UU/OU shit. Completely fucking destroyed her. She spent the rest of the night quietly singing Linkin Park songs to herself.

I felt pretty bad, but at the same time it was definitely one of my greatest IRL trolling moments ever.

Edit: And speaking of retarded, I just spent over an hour grinding/traveling/fighting trainers, etc, got to the next town, walked into the pokecenter, healed up, and turned my DS off without saving for the FOURTH GODDAMN TIME, and I'm only 2 gyms in. I've never had this problem in any other game, why the fuck to I keep doing this now? I fear it's becoming almost second nature.

You could try to just close it without hitting the power switch. Just be careful you don't hit it before you open it back up (done that a couple times, really sucks)

Strength is actually my Kangaskhan's main STAB move. :D It's pretty decent on Physical Normal-type Pokemons. Problem with Fly is that I haven't found a good flying Pokemon. I want a multi-type, like Steel/Flying such as Skarmory. I was gonna level Mantine, but it can't even learn fly. :\

Just beat Jasmine's Steel type gym. Considering I have no fire, fighting or ground type Pokemon (except a Magby), it was a miracle I had my level 25 Dratini's Dragon Rage and just pulled through like that (and Stantler's Sand-Attack and Confuse Ray really helped me out fighting Steelix, without reducing his accuracy enough so that Dratini would be safe I would've really be fucked).

Anyway, I bred a couple Sudowoodo if anyone wants to trade. They're all female.

I read on a website that was talking about Pokevirus that it is "common courtesy" to include Pokevirus on the Pokemon you are trading and so I have a theory that beyond the douchbagginess, these people who are asking for level 100 legendaries are offering a level 1 ratatta that has Pokevirus. It's just a theory, so I'm not about to offer one of these my legendary to find out.

Although in all honesty, that's just a theory I made to make myself feel better. Beyond the Pokevirus theory, it's more than likely just a trendy habit of one trader being stupid and the others seeing it and thinking it works.

It's not the Dunsparce anymore, if you connect. Last I checked (yesterday) it was Power Trick Shuckle, got one myself. Don't know if they only run certain times or if it's 24/7 until they switch pokemon. They've done some more interesting/uncommon pokemon so far instead of just hurrdurr perfect IV shiny legendaries.
