Yeah I've heard both as well. Not that it matters too much, you havn't needed lvl 100 'mon since RuSa anyway, since they auto level on wifi. Gone are the days of grinding in Mt. Silver.

Yeah. I can't think of a conclusive way to test it either, without somehow getting a mon to 100 with less than 506 EVs, which I can't see being possible given how hard it is to level post 70ish. Unless you used Mewtwo and Rare Candies.

That or using AR/Pokesav.

Word. It was a big deal back in RBY/GSC when you had to max effort in every stat. Now it is much harder to get to 100 without getting max EVs for a bunch of reasons.

Yep, looks like Serebii (and myself) failed on that one lol. Never had a lv100 before (don't play with my event ones since it'd be no fun raping all with a lv100), and didn't realize as soon as you hit 100 you couldn't gain ANY more exp. I thought it would let you get to 1 tnl like it usually does in level up systems. /fail

Edit: Ran Arceus untouched lv100 through the Magikarp trainer in Platinum 3x over. First normal, second with Power anklet and third with EXP Share (might as well check it). Nothing at all. Myth busted. =(

If you could get exp though the box trick would work!!

Can you battle wi-fi on Pokemon Battle Revolution on the Wii? I had a copy my friend won from a Gamestop competition before he had a Wii, but I gave it to him when he got one. That would be supersweet.

I've never even used a pokemon over lv60 I think it was. Usually burn out on the game before I make it past that. Never have done competitive battling (or even Wi-Fi battle at all) either, but like to build my pokemon up so they wouldn't be total trash if I decided to try some.
