I used to do the same thing, but in truth it kind of seems like it was easier to get to 100 in the earlier games.

Actually I prefered Mt. Silver to E4. Less talking and running around and shit. Was easier to turn brain off and kill golducks + whatever else was in that high lvl room forever.

Can any of you who have played through Diamond or pearl tell me how in blazes you chain pokemon successfully? I've gotten up to 40 and then try to look for shiny grass but I've had no luck. Everytime I chain I get up too around 20 or so and then my chain just disapears. I'm starting to think I'm going crazy cause I've been at it for hours and I have terrible luck. I just want a shiny Geodude!

It's not particularly hard, it's just very slow and tedious, and eats up a ton of repels. Geodude might be hard since I'm not sure how it works in caves.
