So I'm guessing you can't do this trickroom if you have a nintendo wifi adaptor huh?
So I'm guessing you can't do this trickroom if you have a nintendo wifi adaptor huh?
Relax, I know they are hacked. What I meant by "legit" is that they will work with the Shrine event in HGSS. Just like the Arceus they gave away works with the Ruins. Perhaps I should have said "Shrine event-friendly Celebi". At any rate, how else can you get this event Celibi other than hacking anyways? Isn't the promotion JP movie?
By trading with players that have access to said promotion. Granted, they are mostly dupes, which is basically the same thing as a hacked one in the long run, but that's how event Pokemon traders do it; dupe and trade with others. And from what I understand, any Celebi will trigger the event. If not, then I'm sure they will give out the Celebi in US and Europe at some point.
The reason I'm so up in arms about the legimacy of the events, is because I'm sure there are at least few players here who don't want any hacked Pokemons and claiming the Trickroom events to be legit is misleading. I'm not against using this method to get Celebi or any other Pokemon, I just don't personally want any hacked Pokemons.
Nope, the celebi needs to have "A fateful Encounter" to activate the Celebi event. Also if anyone can get me an extra Celebi from Trickroom I would appreciate it(Can't do it with nintendo wifi adaptor). Don't want to wait for event. If you want a pokemon for it just PM me.
the event pokemon i have arent from any GTS, sorry, it's from Toysrus and gamestop events, these are real deal, and I can clone them for my love shadowhusky :3

A normal legendary pokemon, why I never..
What are your teams looking like?
I think back in Diamond/Pearl I had Swellow/Gengar/Infernape/Snorlax/Togekiss/Vaporeon. Swellow was fucking beast lol, no one saw Guts and Facade being abused.
Picked up a duped Gamestop Jirachi, Toys 'R Us Arceus, Gamestop Pichu, and 11th movie Shaymin on /v/ over the course of a couple weeks. I don't see a problem with claiming that they're legit. They're exactly the same as the ones given out after all.
Edit: I haven't beaten Elite Four yet but I'm doing pretty well with Feraligatr, Stantler, Miltank, Gligar, Dragonair, Sudowoodo. I swap in Weepinbell, Parasect and Kadabra too
Off-topic, why the fuck haven't I seen any special edition Lugia/Silver, Ho-oh/Gold DSs yet?
I'll mention most of my teams. Some monos aren't mentioned because they are doing pretty ... eh... right now.
Edit: Spoiler-ed for size
Spoiler: show
Managed to breed a pretty decent Gengar today.
31 / 3 / 16 / 31 / 10 / 30 spread, not as good as the Salamence, but incredible for Gengar as this spread covers pretty much everything it really needs (HP, S.Atk and Speed). Masuda method and the IV inheritance items are making me even more OCD with breeding than before (if it was even possible).![]()
I have never EVER liked Shuckle for a wall.
Way too easily dealt with and you're essentially giving your opponent advantage.
Shuckle was a beast before Stealth Rock. His defenses are both amazing, and he's only got three weaknesses, one of which you hardly ever see on sweepers (Steel).
The only downsides he's ever had is a low HP pool and terrible speed. Even so, there was a point in time where he saw pretty wide usage.
Shuckle's biggest issue now is being weak to rock, and effectively losing 25% of it's health on any switch in to Stealth Rock. I'll agree with you though, Shuckle is all but useless now, he's far too easily dealt with by a lot of the bruisers that see good usage now.
Lack of an opener as Butterfree would be my other choice but the speed is very lacking to take advantage of Compound Eyes Sleep/Stun Powder.
Since he is the opener, Stealth Rock isn't going to be hurting him unless Whirlwind/Roar but Forrtress is my Rapid Spinner if necessary provided they don't switch in a Ghost type on me.
Many people love to start with Stealth Rock and if it is obvious then that is where Encore comes into play. If you are second guessing then you can throw out Toxic or your own Stealth Rock depending on your build. If it is a steel wall then I am not as worried about being pummeled by it and can just Encore and switch out/Stealth Rock. Rest for recovery and removal of negative status effects while waiting on Toxic or switch out.
EVs are spread into obviously HP and I believe it was Defense. Powered up Surf is my main issue more so than Rock moves but that usually isn't established at the beginning. Taunt on their lead is also the other issue but not many do this thankfully... Trick is a bit easier to handle but most can't anyway if they themselves weren't choiced too.
Wish I could get my wifi to work but all I can do is Shoddy which has OU teams out the ass usually and Bug Team tends to fair the best out of all of the mono-teams I have so far surprisingly. Beat a Fire team once and I still don't know how that was possible lol, prolly Yanmega again since he and Shuckle can break the game more so than my others usually.
Edit: Unless you were talking about Team Wall instead of Team Bug then that is a diff story. Wasn't sure of many wall-types to use in it because it was more of a joke team which can work occasionally.
Edit 2: Again, this was due to lack of another decent lead for Bug Team so if you have suggestions I'd love for input, if that was what we were originally talking about. He works really well in many cases but can completely fall in others. Very least he is doing fairly well overall at the moment.
Man, this is annoying. Passing Nature with Everstone doesn't work if the two Pokemons are from different language regions. I really need to pass nature to the egg (because it has dual ability, trying to get Nature and Ability to match up while wading through the waves of eggs with "wrong natures" is a nightmare) and I can't use Masuda method at the same time.![]()
Generic team:
Scizor / Cresselia / Vaporeon / Ursaring /Heracross / Drapion
Not terribly well balanced, but it's fun to play and has a bunch of my favorite pokemon in it. Also, Sniper + Scope Lens + Focus Energy + Night Slash/Cross Poison can produce hilarious results at times.
Just recently started building another team:
Hippowdon / Omastar / Heatran / Metagross / Empoleon / Ursaring
Can't wait to get some mileage out of it (and yeah, I know ursaring doesn't really belong there. I just love using him too much to put anything else in that slot :D )
I think my team is going to be Tyranitar - Scizor - Gengar - Lucario - Dragonite - Suicune. Probably a horrible team. I'm still learning but making tyranitar lead, suicune wall, dragonite as anti-lead, and scizor, gengar, Lucario as sweepers. I haven't decided on Suicune or Umbreon as a wall though.
