I'd probably still get one. I'm not looking to break the bank, really. I also wanted to get one of those cards that lets you play roms, but I heard there were issues with Heart Gold/Soul Silver..with freezing action.

My DS lite has fallen off a 5 story building, been in the rain, and subjected to EXTREME heat, and still works perfectly. And it has never frozen with HGSS.

I've heard of the ROMs freezing, but I havent had any problems with my copy of SS

GameStop had a deal where you could get a DS and a game that came bundled with it- not sure if they're still doing it though

thats new, for a used ds lite its $89.99 at gamestop, just call around and ask if they have any in good shape...theyll normally tell you

Oh, sorry, real copies, I missed the part where you said ROMS. In that case, I don't know.

Freezing issues were with ROMs. Legit copies, no problems.

Thanks a ton. Yeah, I think I'll call Gamestop and check out their pre-owned DS Lites and see what I can do. I've been so bored, I've been playing Sapphire/Leaf Green lately :/ Just no fun after playing the ROM.

I went to the Whirl Island to try my hand at catching Lugia.....


I went through 48 Ultra Balls

8 Timer Balls

4 Friend Balls

and 11 Great Balls before I finally caught the bastard with one of my two remaining Great Balls....

Mind you I didnt start throwing them until he had around 5HP left and was Paralyzed....yeah.


Also I did the hold down and B thing on the Great Ball that caught him...jus' sayin.

Dusk Balls, yes. 4x catch rate at night or in caves.

Except Latios and Latias, where Love Balls provide an 8x catch rate due to them being gendered (8x if your pokemon that is out is opposite gender).

So I've been trying to connect my DS to wifi so I can get on the GTS and grab a japanese ditto for Masuda breeding, but I've been having some real trouble and wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions. It seems my wireless at home isn't compatible with it, so I've been trying to go to places that I know have free wifi. I tried to go to a McDonalds and it said it found the access point no problem, but when it tested the connection it took forever and eventually gave me an error. I had the same problem at places like my public library and bookstore, etc. The error I got at McDonalds said something like "This access point is too busy at the moment, try again when less people are using it," yet there was literally only 1 other person there besides me, so I seriously doubt it was too busy. I'm kind of at a loss here and all I need is to connect for like 5 minutes. Any help would be appreciated.

Dont use Ho Oh because you're gay if you use a legendary, might wanna look up Ampharos instead of Pikachu as well. Gyarados will be murdered by one Thunder attack, Charizard is ok since he loses two of Fire's weaknesses because of his dual typing, I wouldnt use Feraligatr (Swampert/Empoleon for Water IMO). Lapras idk.
