Took the fiance to see this yesterday. We both enjoyed it. Everyone in the theater was laughing and cheering different parts. I really feel like being with the right crowd in a movie helps tremendously. Everyone had a really good time and took it for what it was...an action movie. I wish Rex's voice would've been "screechier" when he became commander, but that's minor. I liked this much better than Transformers 2, so I'd say this is the better of the few action movies we got this summer.

Alright saw this and enjoyed it. The one thing I did not "like" was the suits that much and commander's mask so just as Ragna would say to Hakumen..."That mask of yours!". I see a sequel being made because of that ending and Snake eyes>all.

edit: I wore a MGS4 shirt to this today and all I thought about was NANOMACHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINES

I'll preface my opinion by saying I think the first transformers was an above average action movie. Good humor, above average cg, above average action.

GI joe sucked. The chemistry between step it up and the wayan brother no ones the name of made it seem like they met right as the director said action. The CG looked like it was out of a low budget sci fi tv show. The writing was pulled straight out of the cartoon, and to be honest, i can't even watch the cartoon anymore, its just mindless.

If you want a mindless movie to entertain you for 2 hours, look for something else to watch. If you really like GI Joe, and can still put up with horrible dialogue and bad writing, more power to you, you should like this.

The whole time I was watching this movie, I was wondering if the director of baywatch made this film, and where were all the chicks in bikini's.

If you know anything about GI Joe, then you know that Storm Shadow can die a good 20times and keep on coming back. Death isn't death in this world.

Surprisingly the lady wanted to see this, and as I predicted, it was shit. I mean, entertaining enough to sit through once, but ugh, just a bad movie. The power suits were beyond lame. actor for duke was terrible and marlon wayans was given way too many "by the way, in case you hadn't noticed, I'm black" dialogue lines. the tweeeest was terrible too. and some of the cg looked undercooked... particularly the initial scene where the base in Egypt opens up, etc.

snakeyes and stormshadow were the highlights, by far. I wish Ray Park would get more roles in action flicks, and the korean dude playing stormshadow was pretty good as well.

Since when did a sword through the gut ever kill a ninja who fell into water? Plus, Firefly isn't even close to being a ninja or a fighter, he's a saboteur. He blows things up for fun and profit

If all he got was stabbed before falling into water, I'm pretty sure he will be back. The only time I was positive he was dead was in GI Joe: Resolute where he go utterly destroyed by the 7th step to the sun
