ITT: Games you felt only you loved

Only games I can think of is Nox by westwood studios and NHL Hitz 20–02 from Midway.

I really enjoyed Nox and played it a ton but I couldn't get any of my friends to even try it (most of them never even heard of it)... which sucks 'cause I know they would've liked it.

As for NHL Hitz 20–02, this game was so epic with the big hits cheat enabled.

Haha, it's funny because it's so true, but the lightheartedness of the game is what I like about it.

If you want a fun light-hearted RPG, check out Crimson Gem Saga for the PSP.
One major complaint I have about the game is that you have to spend SP just to see what the next ability on the skill tree is.

Some trees have shitty abilities all the way through, some have a few useful ones then crap at the end and some have crap all the way TIL the end.
Very few skill trees have useful skills throughout and it's tough to plan how to use your SP when you have to unlock the ability to even see what's next.

Other than that, pretty fun game.

I really couldn't get into Crimson Gem Saga. I thought the story was pretty boring and didn't find any of the characters very likable. Battles were pretty hard (especially since I absolutely could not ever hit the press-a-button-at-the-exact-time-of-your-attack gimmick), and grinding was excruciatingly slow. Like, I'd spend an extra 2-3 hours in every dungeon to grind levels and/or SP, and still get my ass handed to me in the next area. HP and MP potions dropped plenty, but I'd still use way more than I'd find, and having to blow through 2-3 potions per person after every other fight was retarded.

Sounds like you just weren't very good at the game tbh.
I didn't do any grinding until the very end of the game where I was grinding for cash because the weapons and armor are HELLA expensive.

The game is more about tactical combat than stat raising because leveling doesn't really make a huge difference in that game.
