judging by how everyone felt on this board, yes I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who actually loved playing that game.
The game that got me hooked on the FF series and helped me understand RPGs in general:

Try looking at the thread in this forum called "Dungeon Fighter Online."
Knights of the Temple 2
I've still got a copy of Mystic Quest laying around somewhere. :D
It's so easy, but it's still fun.
Anyone remember this one?

What made MQ awesome to me was the music. I loved the battle theme and doom castle's music.
It kind of sucks a lot of the gameplay elements in MQ weren't brought over to other FFs for quite a long time. Like climbing, jumping over pits/cliffs, etc.
Anyway, for another one I liked but didn't seem to become popular... Dark Cloud on the PS2.
I beat it on emulator again a few weeks ago...took like 4hours on fast forward lol. It was really fun, and music was still epic.

And fuck, might as well post the music again for the 42th time on this board.

Also, I posted about it in another thread, but if you liked mystic quest music as much as I did, check Rudra no hihou (another SNES rpg made by Square). The rpg itself is pretty decent years later, and the whole soundtrack is great

Most relaxing game ever. Whenever i'm especially stressed out i'll still pop this or its GC counterpart in for a few games.
cant remember the name of this game, I think it was an early PS1 game (maaaaaaaaaaybe ps2, but doubtful) and i think it was like dodge ball-ish. It was 2 plaeyrs, each had a team of a few people, sci-fi setting, and you played in an arena. You threw the ball at the other team, but there might have been scoring through hoops/nets/goals involved too. Dammit, I cant remember much about it, but I sure loved playing it >.>;
