Jackman's enthusiasm for Wolverine is much like RDJ's for Tony Stark except ones been stuck in a string of shit tier films and the other is helming the largest series of superheroes films ever.

It's tragic really. Jackman's been wasted.

Truth. If he'd been part of the Avengers-universe series of films, he'd likely have gotten much meatier roles and honestly better writing than the uneven stuff he's gotten working for Fox. And even given that, he's still been an excellent Wolverine, to the point where it'd be tough to get someone else in the role.

I like Kurt Russell, but I don't know if he could pull off the look for Cable, iirc he's kinda short and he'd need to bulk up a lot.

I can see Gerard Butler as Cable. He's tall enough and has that sort of reserved attitude that makes Cable a strategist, who has mildly comedic rapport with Deadpool.

Edit: He was pretty good in Gamer with big guns. Also, he's tall enough.

Dude is TINY as fuck now. Met him in NYC and he's rail thin. I doubt he'd want to buff up for the role. I know he said he'd never do a 300 based workout again.

When I talked to him he was doing smaller movies/on stage stuff. I don't think he's done a cinema movie in a while.

Oh had it been him during that time I agree 100%! Though it does seem he has some stuff upcoming, so maybe we'll see?

Just saw it. I have no prior experience with Deadpool, never read a comic and know next to nothing about him. To me, it was just a solid funny movie, but apparently a lot of things went over my head because of my relative inexperience with the Marvel universe. The person I saw this with, a comic collector since the early 80s, caught every reference and declared this movie as a comic book readers dream movie. He plans on seeing it again tonight. I doubt I'll see it again in theaters. There's a post-credits scene, make sure you stay till the end.
