Deadpool was OK. It's not very funny, but fun to watch nonetheless.

Caught the IMAX showing last night, great movie. Lived up to the hype and then some.
Just got back, thought it was great. Couldn't ask for much more from a Deadpool movie.
Also the movie's soundtrack is perfect.
I was a little bit surprised how small-scale it was. Every other superhero movie, even personal stories, always seem to have some sort of world-ending plot, but this was just a straight revenge flick, which was refreshing. Action scenes (aside from bullet counting) were okay but not great, but the characters and dialogues were absolutely perfect.
Movie was exactly what it should have been.
Just got back from seeing it. it was a great movie. Ryan Reynolds was born to play this role. I'm so glad they were able to do this right, especially knowing a sequel has already been green lit.
Beginning: perfect Middle: perfect Ending and credits: perfect Can't wait to see it again.
I just got back from this not too long ago and between the strep throat I'm developing and how hard I was laughing I know I'm going to have trouble talking tomorrow.
And I regret nothing. This movie was everything I hoped it would be and more.
Spoiler: show
Fan fucking tastic movie. I know I'll catch heat for saying it but I don't give a fuck, so here goes:
Imho, at least for me,
Deadpool > Star Wars.
Discuss.
The movie was certainly funny, but idk if over the line action I got more out of stuff like the expendables, and the "hero" aspect of the movie was okay but nothing special. 5.5-6 if not including the sex humor and funny shit. but with it bumps it up to a 7/10. Good movie, but nothing like how it's being hyped up
"I mean, yeah, if you cut out all the good shit it was a pretty bad movie."
Which is why I included the score with everything included.
It was funny, the humor alone wouldn't make it a 10/10 for me.
Rating something by cutting out the parts that make it good is fantastically stupid. My car sure would suck without four wheels and an engine, but it just so happens to have four wheels and an engine.
Why would you even compare these movies? Like, on what basis?
Anyways, movie was exactly what I wanted. I agree that the final fight was kind of overshadowed by the ones that came before it, but aside from that, no complaints. Excited for the sequel.
Spoiler: show
Reynolds has definitely redeemed himself with this faithful, lovingly put together Deadpool movie but I couldn't shake the low budgetness of the whole thing.
I mean I get why the movie was low budget and even that Deadpool being low budget is a good thing but the movie felt like a ship in a bottle. The Ant Man of the FOX franchise. Naturally, they made the funniest joke of the entire movie about it.
At the very least you'll be laughing so much you probably won't notice.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/scottmen.../#50a62d587e5cThe film cost just $58 million to produce, which meant there wasn’t much of a risk in terms of letting the famously R-rated Deadpool be R-rated in content and in spirit.
While Deadpool is not remotely the first R-rated comic book movie or even R-rated superhero movie, it’s about to leave its predecessors in the dust. To wit, if these numbers bear out and we end up with (for example) $123 million Fri-Sun/$136m Fri-Mon debut weekend, it will have already surpassed every single R-rated comic book superhero movie ever. The Angelina Jolie/James McAvoy/Morgan Freeman release Wanted earned $134m domestic and $345m worldwide on a $75m budget. If you’re talking unapologetically costumed comic book superhero movies that went out with an R-rating, well Watchmen earned $107m total in America and $185m total worldwide back in 2009, so that’s kinda already a done deal.
I felt he picked up where he left off in X-Men Origin's and fine tuned the fuck outta it. I enjoyed it.
Lol at the comparison. If there is a shade to compare it to it would by how much hype led up to it and only 1 of the 2 living up to said hype.
Damn, $47.5 million for opening day is nuts.
