While they have been "wiped" out from canon, as something that has been made, shown and watched in our culture, their existence cannot be denied. My argument was to point out the fact while they may not be considered canon, to someone like Deadpool, who is so self aware he even has an action figure of his previous incarnation from Wolverine Origins, in his apartment. Furthermore, stating the actors names who play Xavier in movies, is a further proof how far out of the cinematic universe Deadpool mind's reach is. It's safe to assume for the sake of storytelling of the current movie, Wilson's training is exactly that, unexplained yet implied that his previous training is already culturally established with that throw away movie. Even if it's not canon.

You were saying the events of Origins were a potential explanation for Wade's combat skills. It's not, at all, in any way. Even if Fox hadn't done the job for them, the makers of this movie would never have referred to Origins' events as having actually happened because everyone involved with this movie hated that Deadpool. Origins is just something to poke fun at, no more or less significant than Reynolds' failed GL movie.

So... like every comic book based on him right? Bigger point. . . no one knows. And certainly, the people in charge are keeping it ambiguous enough to not care as well as they should since it is "canon" enough for it to be inconsistent.

I.E: It's fucking Deadpool. Enjoy the ride with no seat belts kids.

I'm just happy it's crushing at the box office. Makes me hopeful for more R-rated comic movies. Punisher or a big screen adventure for Netflix Daredevil would be awesome with an R.

I wouldnt count on that. I think a big part of its success is the comedy element. Its more appealing to a broader audience than something like Punisher would be.

Did any of the jokes in the movie require an R-rating though? I have no idea what kind of shit gets flagged by the high council of movie ratings but I had assumed the R was for the sex and gore, not any of the dialogue.

Regardless, I'm still hopeful. Maybe not Fox, but Marvel's already proven they're doing well enough that they're willing to take a chance on stuff like Guardians, maybe they'd take a chance on an R.

Who owns Punisher right now anyways?

I expect Marvel will stick with Netflix for its more mature content. The violence in daredevil and the sex in Jessica Jones is leaps head of the cinematic universe and they don't have to worry about the box office.

Kind of. Maybe canonically, yes, but the timelines don't match up. Origins starts with Wolverine in Vietnam getting 'executed', surviving, and immediately going on the mission with Wade Wilson and crew, walking away, and then a 6 year time jump. DoFP takes place in 1973, so the Vietnam war would've been over. Which means everything before the Origin timeskip still should have happened, i.e. that proto-Deadpool exists. Incidentally, this would make Wade Wilson 60+ years old during Deadpool.

Which is still a less hand-wavey dismissal of time passing than most comic book characters.
