If Mamushito +1's proc'd worth a fuck they probably would be overpowered. But they don't and don't even work on a lot of stuff.
I've only used 2x stun katanas before and that was like 2005 hakutaku lol.
I always wanted to see MNK get Tonfa (police night sticks) and/or Nunchaku (nunchucks).
If you remember the very first FF, the fighter/monk had chucks to use until they got to level 10 ish, then went H2H
And its always bugged me that some knucks i.e. cross-counters/retaliators have big ass spikes, or like the T.M. hooks that are clearly bladed but still do blunt dmg

But to the original question it would be neat to see them get something cool. I do not know what it could be. maybe some kind of cloth or leather "wrap" for the handle?
I dunno how SE would do it, but I wish H2H users could use two separate H2H weapons, like the formers with H2H weapons do. I could also see grips, but then dagger/sword users would cry that they don't have them as well.
I'm really of two minds on this issue. First, I would love to be able to use my grips from War and Sam on my h2h weapons on monk, but I think it might be just slightly overpowered. Claymore grip with Destroyers and that attack speed?
My second thought is that since the grips are meant only for two handed weapons, perhaps a second option should be available for those who are either using h2h, or a single one handed weapon. Perhaps "Kits" would be an appropriate name for them. Some sort of enhancement that coats the business end of the weapon instead of the handle, and possibly even make them work like the Virtue stones, but have them equipped in the offhand, where each time they activate you lose one charge or one item.
Might be a nice alternative, using Materials that are already available through Alchemy. They could make normal attacks work almost like the status bolts do. For example, a Holy Kit could stack to 99, and add a certain amount of Holy damage to each attack, or to a certain percentage of attacks.
Just my thoughts on the matter.
I always felt that damage types should vary a bit more for any weapon class based on what the actual weapon looks like... Give a little more options for jobs so merit party setups and camps are based upon mob-types vs jobs (e.g. drg vs colibri)
Avengers, katars, patas, rune, knuckles, adargas, etc. = piercing
Koenig, Diamond, Spharai, cesti, etc. = blunt
Claws, sainti, baghnakhs, etc. = slashing
and so on.
Ok back on topic! No, I don't think monks should get grips. Just because their sub-weapon slot is empty doesn't mean they don't have 2 weapons in their hands. That would defeat the purpose and beg the question as to why 1-hand weapons don't have the option for grips. Hand-to-hand weapons' stats are good enough to compete with 1handed weapon + 1 handed weapon stats combined. Hades, Avengers, Destroyers, etc are all argument enough.
monk-only straps would be cool, even if its just something small to fill up the slot.
Oh, h2h skill +1 on one for sure, so people can have their 300 skill and finally sleep at night.
I always thought a neat idea to introduce such an item would be wrist wraps, much like a bracer or bandage to power the punch.
IMO, they should make all knuck's singular, but let mnks equip 2 different knucks.

idc about grips or added effects or any of that stuff, mnk h2h is pretty beefy already. i did still vote yes though, since i would def use and love a double attack or crit+ grip.
only thing that has ever bugged me is im punching things with daggers on my fist (avengers). why does that count as blunt damage?

They should just change h2h weapons so that the icon appears in the sub slot as well, since they are in fact using 2 weapons; and/or as someone already said, let us equip different h2h weapons in each hand.

If the current delay would be for 2 of the knucks theoretically they would halve them for just one.
Of course this is SE we're talking about, so they would never go for a cool idea like this, and if they did they wouldn't adjust delays, and pretty much fuck mnk over completely.

Fuck that. Two knucks for Mnk ruins Destroyers, making it about as useful as Heart Snatcher. The reason it's so damn awesome is the fact that it *does* count for both weapon slots while only appearing in the Main slot.
As for grips. Sure. Can make them, like, bracers or something. But it'd be overpowered as fuck to give Mnk Stun with Faith Baghnakhs and 25% gear haste.
