Does FFXI have a filecheck?

I think i have a bad file that wont let me run the game. Does FFXI have a file checker or file repair program like WoW has?

I'm not a fan of uninstalling and reinstalling FF then waiting 9 hours for it to update.

Heh, it found a few bad files but now i have to wait 7 hours for ALL the files to be downloaded. Retarded logic imo.

There are plenty of possibilities. Data can be damaged in many different ways. If you want to rule out HDD problems, running a thorough scan and/or defragging is a good idea.

7 mins left, i've got the rope, pills, gas, toaster, fork and the box set of Scrubs at the ready if this doesn't work.

I realy don't want to sit through another 8 hours of installing/updating.

That's a good 1/4 of all FFXI files, a good 2gb worth.

I'd really suggest doing a check on your hard-drive (and a virus scan) as Kohan suggested, there may be more to this than FFXI being stupid.
