Love @ 18/20 oh lord. Move on and away from her. Focus on yourself and improving yourself(i.e. getting a job/going to college/getting a degree etc.) You'll meet plenty of girls in college(provided that you're confident enough). No use going through hell for someone who won't go the distance for you or won't respect you.
Seriously, stop rationalizing that staying with her is a good idea, the fact that you're desperate enough to ask an internet message board for an advice should be a reflection on just how fucked the situation is.
Drop it, your life just barely started, there will be better relationship in the future, but you're not gonna have that by sticking around to a crazy bitch.
You're a high schooler, just accept the fact that you're a fucking moron when it come to relationship. Fucking someone isn't a blood pact that bound your fate to someone (even if blood was involved), and true love doesn't exist beyond concept, on the off chance it actually does, the chance are slim to none that it'd be in your first relationship.
Move on with your life, and stop trying to justify your existence through others'.
Seriously dude, you should move on. It may hurt alot right now, but you came to us for advice and we're giving it from taking what you told us from your post. I have to agree with alot of what everyone has been saying. Distract yourself with finding a job, get a game to play or just hang out with people. Get her off your mind and fill up your time with things to do. You should work at yourself. Don't get that job because you want to fulfill a promise to her. Get the job so you can have one for yourself.
You may only want to hear how to get back with her, but all you'll get from us is to forget about her.
need pics of girlfriend then i can give you advice son.
That's pretty weird; our relationships have some similarities (started when she was 15, I was 17, been together since, high school sweethearts, etc etc.)
More or less, the answer is: you are young. Everyone goes in with the attitude "we will beat all the odds" when they get in relationships young or long-distance relationships (I had both for a while). Because you are both young, what you both want changes. To stay together, you need to mature together and both change to wanting the same things. It's fairly obvious she has stability issues and constantly acts on whims - not a redeeming quality when you are looking to settle down and get married. Constantly wondering if you relationship is worth it or if you are going to break up in a few hours is not a good thing.
My advice: enjoy a month or 2 of being single. Then start dating. Maybe in a few years things will have settled down with her and you might bump into each other and hit it off again. Or maybe you will meet the woman of your dreams and that will work out instead. Instead of thinking about what you want you should be getting what you want - and you can't get that with her right now.
you were up against stupid odds. Breaking up and moving on doesn't make you and your relationship any less significant. But if you continue with a losing hand you will miss time in your life you won't get back. If at the end of the day you are depressed/pissed 2+ days of the week, your relationship is not doing it's job.
PS: I'm trying to find a job this summer so I can move in with my gf for the summer. The job market fuckin sucks lol
Fact of the matter is that both of you will be changing a lot the next couple years of your life. Looking back 5 years from now you might not be able to recognize yourselves.
Now that she will finally be free from her parents she wants to go out and explore everything and have fun. Can you really blame her, I mean what teenager fresh out of HS doesn't want to do that? Not many.
I had a HS love too, that ended very badly as well. It took me a while to get over her but I'm a better person for it. These guys are right you should try to forget about it as much as you can, until you're ready to move on. Then you can keep the good memories and leave the bad behind.
I'm not gonna say "move on," since that is always easier said than done.
But, she's made it clear that you're not the center of her world anymore(if ever), and neither should she be yours.
You don't have to quit her completely. End it romantically, keep in touch, meet new people, go backpacking through europe, whatever. Get YOUR life together, focus on making YOURSELF better. Keep her on the back-burner. Did I mention "meet new people?" That part is key.
Going to college will help a lot, you're likely to meet women more mature and more compatible with yourself, even if not in a romantic sense, and you'll find she's not on your mind as much as she used to be.
as i see it you got 2 options. 1.) you tell her she is acting like a cunt and try to reason something out(which in most cases of crazy bitches wont work) and 2.) grow a pair of balls and tell the bitch to get lost that she needs to grow up and then come talk to you. only reasonable thing to do really. love at 18/20 rarely ever lasts cause one or the other is just way too immature. if shit dosnt work out get out their get your life together maybe fuck some bitches along the way untill you can find a girl that is actually worth keeping(good luck on that)
I've been in that position more than once before, and it never ends up well. My advice is to find a job for yourself. You will find someone else sooner than you realize and this one will be off your mind sooner than you know it.
Also, marijuana after you find that job and can afford it.
im around your age, and ive been fucked over by love hardcore (5year relationship). my gf and i were the same age though, so experiences might vary.
nevertheless, i have realized, through myself and people around me, that love and romance is bullshit and rarely exists throughout the world. when time passes by you will seriously open your eyes and say 'well goddamn, wtf was that', i guarantee you. you have so much to live for man, we're just getting started with life, don't think as if you're obliged to do shit at this very moment.
words of wisdom; fuck bitches, smoke trees, get money.
consider this: Were you the same person at 10 as you were at 5? No. Of course not. You had different friends, different toys, different likes and dislikes. Are you the same person now as you were when you were 10? Of course not. More change. And you will NOT be the same person at 25 as you are now. One would hope that you will grow, mature, learn, etc. The same is going to happen with this girl. She's not the same person now as she was when you met and she won't be the same person at 25 as she is now.
What you need to understand is that relationships between 14 and 25 are all very transient. You are learning, trying new things. But these relationships almost never last because you are still in this learning process. You start going out with someone because you think it's so great that they love the same bands and movies as you and you realize 4 months later that this isn't really enough to make things continue on.
Take a few minutes and think about why you like this girl. Is she as committed as you (it doesn't appear to be the case)? Is she ready for a long term relationship? Is she frustrated and looking for a way out? Do you think the "you" at 30 will still want to be with this person?
For a relationship like yours to work you will both have to mature in the same way at more or less the same rate over the next 10 years or so. You're going to go to college soon and meet TONS of people that are very different and interesting and you might learn a little bit about yourself and what you're really looking for in a partner.
The long and short of it: It's a fucking HS relationship, man. Let it go, there's plenty of fish in the sea that won't be a pain in the ass like that.
Alright alt. First off I'll say that the situation you're in right now sucks. But it honestly and truely sounds like she is doing enough to keep you around as a fallback. She's flip flopping to the point where she doesn't know what she wants. But she wants to keep you hanging around in case you're it. My advice is the same that's been echoed in the thread already. Go out, find a decent place to work. Try to get some financial aid and enroll in college. It's not fair to you to put your life on hold while your girl is trying to work out whatever issues she has. No girl is worth putting your life on hold for. You shouldn't be looking for a job as a compromise to keep her around. You should be doing it so you can get on your own two feet and begin your adult life. I think Sunrider really summed it up best.
While right now you're stuck fawning over her, when you do your own thing and live your own life it's amazing how quickly things change. What you thought was your entire world at the time, you realize was just a small part that got you started on the path to where you want to be.You don't have to quit her completely. End it romantically, keep in touch, meet new people, go backpacking through europe, whatever. Get YOUR life together, focus on making YOURSELF better. Keep her on the back-burner. Did I mention "meet new people?" That part is key.

You don't know the shit she does behind your back and I suggest you really let this go before it affects you mentally, the number one reason serial killers become what they are is obsession of someone and end up losing it. I had a similar story except mine basically betrayed my trust in her and it screwed up my freshman year in college, it wasn't worth it and If i could go back I'd tell her the slut she is spot on.
Let her go. She's not worth it.
Well. I'd say that the best thing you can do is to let her go. Just about everyone goes through this phase in their life. That's what College/University is about for a lot of people.
I remember my "first love" also. Frankly, I should have high tailed it and ran within the first few months. If I hadn't had that experience I wouldn't be the person I am today.
Use it as a learning experience and improve yourself.
It's going to be hard, but it's clear that she feels she's not living life the way she wants to. You need to get out and experience things now before you go tying yourself down with more responsibilities.
Women are nothing but manipulative, selfish people. (for the most part) There are very little women out there that are not selfish. I've had balls in a vice grip once and it's terrible, do yourself a favor and try your best to forget about her and focus on your own interests at least until you're done with school entirely and have a steady job. You need to be selfish until then.
