here's my two cents from alot of soloing for seals on lesser colibri etc. There does seem to be a time limit between seals, although I believe it is random. the maximum is 5 minutes basically, and that applies to both kindred and beastman together, they seem to share the same drop, 50/50 on either. So there will up to a five minute wait on the next one. however, I notice that on the very rare occassion another will drop before 5 minutes is up, I think i've seen as early as two and a half, but this is very very rare. So whenever I am camping seals only, I do something else for 5 minutes between drops instead of killing right through. I've managed to go three or four in a row with this method in the past. But it can also take another 5 to 10 minutes after your 5 minute break to get a drop if you have bad luck. In conclusion, I do believe there is a timer, but it isn't 100% always 5 minutes, it simply varies.

183 total mobs if you were to get everything and none of them are shared spawns.. I've never chained past 155 though, some things will always inevitably deaggro or be missed. I do use multiple pullers.

You're talking out your ass, and regarding the seal thing gonna say pics or it didn't happen.

You don't need to count them ingame btw, the zone .dat lists all possible mobs that can be popped there.
Ummm, you forgot a few mobs in there... Next time try adding the 25 Pugils. Wait? What?! Pugils you say, but they dont link! No they don't link. But they do aggro Lv. 75 when you kneel by them. So... if you have run speed, kneel and run, kneel and run. This way you have enough time to get up and not get locked in a resting position.

    Hmmm 25 Pugils. Let's see.

48 combats, 33 spiders, 60 seeker bats, 42 thread leeches AND 25 Pugils. Well, what do ya know. That's over 200 mobs. 208 to be exact. Arthas was right. That's not even taking into account the 9 bogys (which by the way give SWEET xp) from the leech path and about 10 Goblin Bounty Hunters. Hmm another 19 mobs. So, 227 mobs that I tend to find in my find my eveyday Burn party. Did I mention a Sea Monk from the bat cave for spice?

The only reason we ever need to Thunderspark is if someone dies to a rouge mob or they screw up their target and hit only a few mobs and not max.

So... yeah.. 200+ mobs for burning.

And oh yea, did I mention if you know the little tricks to doing a "proper" burn, nothing ever de-aggros. So what we bring to camp, stays at camp.

Oh and not to leave topic Completely, you get a crap load of beastmen seals in the span of 3mins. So much crap going through treasure pool at that moment it's insane.

    Wow, what mature posts lol.

In any case, in my experience what Thorny says is correct. Under normal party circumstances, after a seal drops it cannot drop again for another 5 minutes, per party. In an alliance, each party is on their own timer.

Now, with Astral Burning a few different things could be going on and it would be interesting to see what sets it apart from normal party seal drop rules. Perhaps it's the fact that the avatars gets the kills, or that a majority of the mobs die unclaimed. This is all assuming what Arthars says is correct. As always, poidh. Until then sure, let's speculate, but let's not call it fact just yet. In either case, I'm fairly certain my initial statement is true, both through my own experience and through a lot of research done in previous threads right here on BG. Use the search function and you'll find many similar threads.

EX items do not auto sort like non-EX items. They stay in pool till the pool is entirely EX items. If what you are saying is true and "crap loads" of seals drop, every pull would have 6+ seals sitting in pool after everything is dead. I don't understand why people need to make up shit for no reason.

I get them cause I set lightluggae to pass everything else where the rest of the party doesnt so.... while they stock up and cap out on crystals, bats wings, fangs, carbunkle rubies and w/e, the seals all drop to me. After several hrs of burning I have a crap load of seals...

Better? Point is it's not 5mins per seal. As we dont even have Astral flow on for that long.

Edit: There's ALWAYS a reason to make shit up. Whether others find it valid is a different story. Hell, half of the crap in all these forums is ppl stateing their "opinion" as fact.

The current accepted theory is that it is still 5min minimum wait per seal per party under normal circumstances. We're still awaiting proof of the multiple seals during astral flow parties, and discussing what it could mean. If it's true, I'd hypothesize it has something to do with the pets, and the theory would still hold true otherwise.

Even if you pass everything and everyone else has full inventory they will still sit there for 5 min allowing you to screen shot proof. Also depending on the number of summoners, and the time between staggers, the last AF can carry to 5+ min from first kill.

Astralburn is the exact same thing, 1 seal per burn session unless your burn takes more than 5 minutes from first to last kill.

Mister smileyface: getting the pugils would take long, best just get the linkables, burn through them, have 2Hs reset and repeat.

I was under the impression the point of an astral burn was to get as much exp as possible ina set time period. My pulls normally take about 15 minutes with 2 pullers. Now, factor in 5 seconds to rest and 5 to get up per pugil x25 pugils, per bogy x9 bogies(which is somewhat conservative, even if you run you do get caught in resting position sometimes), and you're throwing away 34 / 6 = 5:40 for 6k exp. 16 min respawn + 15 min pull(done while smns are getting 2hs reset) = 31 min vs 36, you're not adding any exp/hr doing that.. and if you have a COR for roll and are getting literally every linkable mob without deaggroing them you're subtracting it <_< I kind of already said that earlier, but hey, I guess some people can't read.

Also, don't talk about 'proper tricks' like it's some big secret. You rest in front of the mobs to get hate so none will depop, omfg? It doesn't change that you'll deaggro a few by accident on your way to camp, leeches in particular(anyone who says they've never deaggroed on the watery part is a fucking liar). However, OCDing over getting every last mob either through permanent walk mode or resting in front of individual trash results in less exp/hr, which is the end goal of SMN burning to begin with since it sure as hell isn't a fun way to exp.

Pics or it didn't happen on the seals, no EX or Rare marked items will sort from pool unless the entire pool is EX or Rare. There will always be exactly one beastmen's in the pool when you finish a flow, similar to how in a fast merit party there will almost always be exactly one in treasure pool, even though you get 15-20 trash drops in the 5 min it takes to sort.

I quoted your problem. We have almost a full puller party. 5-6 ppl. The ppl in the SMN party are all dual boxing. Wow, couldn't imagine how long it would take to pull the entire zone with 2 ppl. That and when all the SMNs are back in town getting 2hrs reset. The Puller PT moves in position to start pulling as soon as everythnig responds. Ah well if your way works for you, congrats. More power to you. My point was there are more that 200+ mobs. Which you said there weren't.

You kinda said that earlier or actually said that earlier...? I kinda said a lot of things earlier too... shall I try and put them in like it was exactly what I meant the moment it comes into question?

    But this is about seals.

This weekend I'm gonna check on the seal drop rates and what we get. I'll be the first to say yes you were right if I'm wrong.

yea fast flow is always the best XP

15 mins per flow is pure win when besiged is coming

anyway, for 200+ mobs burn, i think i have stated above. i only pull them when SP is like @1 hour and out of WCs (i lazy to shout in WG), or we still delvling mules as sometimes there are assholes at OP killing mobs so you couldnt delvl fast enough

pull 200 mobs and standby, and flow asap when SP is up can make up crazy XP for that rare occasion. not recommended to do it always tho. thats inefficient

anyway, maint x2 days in a row during my flow time slot w00t fuck you SE
