That shit is nasty. I had one of those cheesecake kit monstrosities once. Tasted like chemicals more than anything else.

'Course, a real cheesecake practically takes a whole day to prepare -- letting ingredients get to room temperature, mixing them carefully, prepping the oven, letting it sit, etc. -- so if you don't want to wait, just try to buy a good frozen one.

Yeah. I've made homemade marinara, which included going to the farmer's market and buying a huge box of old, soft tomatoes, boiling them, peeling them -- the whole deal. Aside from that, I prepared pesto, which included picking basil from the garden, and everything...

I've made some nice sauces that I don't have any pictures of. Nothing more awesome than a tomato+mushroom sauce simmered for 6 hours.
I wish I could make pesto up here but growing my own basil, It'd still be absurdly expensive.
