Lunar Silver Star story PSP

For some reason I have more fond memories of this game then FF7 (of which I played probably 10x more then lunar). Something about the graphics / characters / music / story....

Wish my psp wasn't bricked and falling apart.

Depends, Working Designs reopened up under a new name, their first game comes out on June 9th 2009 apparently(Its a Japanese game, but its being released in North America first before being released in Japan even though it was developed in Japan). In a 1up interview the founder of Working Designs now named Gaijinworks said this first title isn't the "main" title to come out but just the first for this new company(which has a lot of the original Working Designs staff). He also said he has a "major" title to announce in the summer of 09 but no more info can be released as of right now.

I just bught the original collecters edition a few days ago lol, oh well, only 30$ and like new. Ill probably just wait and replay it again till this one comes out. It cant be that much bastardized, I hope.

i think the "re done" graphics is just a bunch of re-coloring. which in all honesty i would be happy about. if it is in 3'd, i'd still give it a shot. i just hope they pick a different singer for luna. her ps1 song sounded like a cat having a heart attack. god the lyircs made it sound like she was almost freestyling, not on beat on some of it. (coming from someone who likes to sample/produce music)

That was pretty bad. Don't think I ever watched the opening, but that was quite spoilerish.

As for Dragon Song, I'll probably just keep it sealed then. Think I only paid $10 for it anyways.

And I agree with Richardd, $30 is insanely cheap. I remember a couple years ago it was going for $70 or so used at Game Crazy.

I didn't know the games were even worth that. There probably none left in my city but they got marked down to $10-$15 when i bought them, they were kinda old at that time. still sealed. There worth every penny but $50 I'm surprised.

PS, Saturn is more. 50$ is cheap for a game like that, average is around 100 that ive seen.

Both original lunar games for the Sega CD are my favorite of all time rpg's, I know by today's standards they don't look very good but this remake looks leaps and bounds above the remakes for the ps1 and GBA. From what I've read they are redoing the voice acting to make it less cheesy.

I always liked Eternal Blue much more than Silver Star Story, so I hope they remake that as well afterwards.

As much as I fucking LOVE Lunar 1 and 2; why the hell do they keep remaking the first one? Seriously? How about a remake of the Eternal Blue or *gasp* a new one that doesn't suck ass?

I'm bummed the title slipped to the end of the year in Japan and hope it still makes it out in January in the states although I doubt it. Fingers crossed the localization and voiceover work is up to the high bar that Working Designs set so many years ago. You can't deny they did a wonderful job even if you hate the pop culture references that littered both PS1 remakes.

EB is definitely the superior game, though they're both excellent. so they'd better remake it! if not that's ok though... I'll always have my PSX games. I don't care if I'm starving and addicted to crack, I will not sell them. which is sad because they're in great condition, with the original boxes and all of the extras (some of which haven't even been touched). those hardbound manuals were amazing.

for the love of god though, we need a real Lunar 3, and none of this DS bullshit. there's so much to the whole story that hasn't been explored yet. how about humanity recolonizing the Blue Star? what happens to Lucia & Hiro? and can we re-form Working Designs for just one game please, because I absolutely loved their localization.

both PS1 games are a remake, the original 2 for the Sega CD are both much much darker and better imo
