Lunar Silver Star story PSP

So heres a question. I was thinking of picking this up in the next little bit, but based on the comments I'm not entirely sure. I've never actually played a Lunar game (besides the 10 minutes of the REALLY shitty DS one), but have been looking into playing one for a while now.

So, should I buy this and play it or stick to the PS1 copies? Was the better sound *that* much better than the sharper graphics and portability of the PSP?

Theres a demo on psn if that would help you decide. Myself i havent decided yet, i couldnt stand the demo but i have heard good things about lunar (silly voices and that transition between areas (why does the music have to stop each time??)). Waiting until i hear some reviews about the game or opinions until i decide.

I dont mind changes, as long as theyre not important things I always saw those two songs as very pivotal pieces. I wouldnt mind so much if it was a compeltly new animation + melody, but since all the did was just change the lyrics, it really irks me.

Are you forgetting the liberties that Working Designs took with translating them from Japanese the first time anyway? The message is the same, all they did was change the words.

This is the definitive version of Silver Star and if it sells well the developers have talked about FINALLY doing an Eternal Blue sequel. So far though since the PSP is pretty much a dead platform I doubt they are going to see the promising sales that they want and the Lunar series is going to go away for another decade.

Seconded, I thought this would be about Lunar 2 coming to the PSP.

Not a big fan on how the combat is now insultingly easy, and the AI is too goddamn retarded to be left on its own device. Not to mention that you can't exactly escape from random encounter consistently, which is annoying when you're just tired of long drawn out combat animation in encounters that you can win by just auto attacking or spamming Nash/Mia's magic, but can't just let the AI do it that because it'd squander your items and/or make the mages do their pitiful melee instead of AoE magic.

Not to mention the dungeon is overly simple, and bossfights aren't even close to challenging.
