    My DNC precast set with no cast delay works 100% of the time too. I'm not sure that it matters, but you can actually change your "afterCast" to "midCast" and you'll still get the bonus from your AF body 100% of the time.

    I suspect there is something more complicated about Fast Cast.

    Last time we went through this, ksandra? insisted that randon lag problems were breaking her jig gear and precast delay was the only way to fix it. If that is the case she should get the same issue testing with waltz. I'd like to actually figure out what is going on, because there is a huge number of people who believe precast delay is required for any gear swaps to work, which is obviously not the case. If nobody can reproduce the issue using the waltz test, then at least that rules out JAs needing precast.

    Could you try your test again setting CastDelay=0? Is there a default cast delay if you don't set it?

    Precast delay for spells or JA? I haven't checked with JA, but spells was fairly noticeable when I did teleport tests. I didn't even bother to check the issue until Strom noticed his not working.

    It isn't an issue with spellcast, I had this problem before I made my first spellcast xml. In-game macros also suffer from the same problem, on my machine at least.

    I've only ever tested this issue with spells. And when I tested it for cereal it was without spellcast and done with aliases in chocobo circuit with fraps. But that was in 2007 or 2008 I think. Perhaps it's changed since then, I will test it again if I remember and no one else beats me to it. Too busy today.

    I read long ago that for fast cast to work the gear HAS to be equipped before you start casting. I am referring to the casting percent at which the spell fires not the recast timer. I did my testing long ago and was testing because i wanted utsu to complete fast as possible. I currently use a .3 delay for all magics and weapon skills. It does give a sense of security that my WS will be fully effective or my magic gets full benefits also. I am very curious however why people see different results.

    I currently toggle TH to locked or unlocked on my Thf. How would one add an exception to gear locks for casting utsu?

    I would really appreciate some help with this!

    My SAM.xml is here. It's set up for swapping through different sets for different delays, but I haven't used that function since I got Masamune. Use it if you like it, delete it if you don't.

    Castdelay=0 is the same as not setting one, did a quick test to be sure.

    Have a few jobs in my sig. I think it would be a good thing to have a thread (perhaps stickied) of user-submitted xmls; with OP that is updated with new submissions.

    A lot of people here don't check on windower.net and having just looked at them they are a real mixed bag of quality (and i got timeout errors about 50% of the time on the site which would put people off).

    There was a thread that was basically this a while back, but it degenerated pretty quickly into "X set is needed, no it isn't, yes it is" (at which point I stopped following it, may have recovered but doubt it). If you don't have any review of them though, you get the random qualities. Probably the best way is like you have - Active spellcast people can link to pastebins of themselves (or recommended for X job) in sigs.

    Searching pastebin is a good idea though, if you want a "good DRK SC with rules for Apoc Aftermath" search for <main>Apocalypse</main>, and work from there.

    This thread was an idea I had way back, but people didn't seem on board with the idea. At the moment, I'm keeping most of my XMLs on my User Page so people can just click my name and get the XML + Include + Autoexec needed.

    Edited Yugl's BLU.xml for my gear, and it all works well (and thank you for such a comprehensive one), except for a few things...

    Firstly, the TP-Haste and TP-Refresh spell (Blizzard5) doesn't switch between TPin (for me) in Serpentes or Ocelot/Dusk, whenever I trigger the TP in Refresh to OFF, I still TP in Serpentes. How can this be fixed?
    Secondly, what is gear lock spellcast rules for Burst Affinity, Chain Affinity and Efflux (as in, equip the Head/Hands/Legs BEFORE the JA triggers, and lock them, but change all else)

    Halp'd be appreciated!

    Edit: Fixed CA, BA and Efflux. Still TP Triggers?!?!
