    Midcast delay only delays the equipping of sets, not the cast of the spell.

    Before delay:
    PrecastGear+StartOfSpell----Midcast-----SpellLands--Aftercast

    With your midcast delay:
    PrecastGear+StartOfSpell-------SpellLands--Midcast-Aftercast

    With Cast Delay:
    PrecastGear--StartOfSpell-----Midcast---SpellLands-Aftercast

    Yeah, removing the midcast delay got it working. I had a "duh" moment, is all.

    Wondering if i could get some assistance,
    I recently edited my warrior spellcast and upon reloading its giving me this error;
    SpellCast: XML Parsing Error: line 0 - Error reading Element value.
    [18:23:01] 4120:<0> [ERROR] Document is not valid.

    All i did was remove a few unwanted sets aswell as edit a few pieces of gear and change some gear within variables.

    I cant understand atall or notice why.

    I thought maybe if someone could tell me what this error is refering to i may be able to spot it without uploading my sc.

    Much appreciated for any assistance.

    Can somebody edit the title of the thread to say POST YOUR XML IF YOU WANT HELP so we don't have to say that every other time a question comes up?

    If Aikar doesn't mind, I can edit the title to Spellcast support since 2.3 is outdated. Not without his permission though.

    Alrighty, very basic question--I installed SC 5 hours ago and have been reading/fiddling around with it since then; my end goal is to make an xml for my mnk to be able to alter gear when impetus is up/down. I have looked at the more advanced and basic xml's that have already been posted--bottom line at the moment is the advanced ones (like Yugl's) are a bit beyond my capacity of getting to function properly atm, so I have been working with modifying one of the more basic versions.

    Basically, I am wondering if it is possible to make a rule that switches out Tantra Cyclas to Toci's when impetus wears off mid TP-phase, as opposed to waiting for the switches to kick in after my next WS. I am also curious as to how I might be able to make it so that when I WS with impetus up, I use a different WS set from what I use with impetus down. I know my current xml is quite butchered, but atm it at least works for switching gear after WS's and upon engaging based upon if impetus is up or down. I notice that my gear is swapping too much when I WS--it switches to Tantra body, then to Toci's, then back to standard, regardless of impetus being up or down.

    I certainly plan on continuing to fiddle around with it and read on my own, and if I am not quite at the level where anyone can help me yet that is completely understandable. I appreciate any insight that is available though.

    Spoiler: show

    Made this as a Marksmanship Skill-up script. Yeah, it's kinda botting, but SC rox.

    Code:
    <?xml version="1.0" ?>
    <spellcast>
        <sets>
            <set name="ranged">
                <range>Awilda'sGun</range>
                <ammo>Bronze Bullet</ammo>
            </set>
        </sets>
        <rules>
            <if commandprefix="/range|/ra">
                <action type="equip" when="precast|midcast|aftercast" set="ranged" />
                <command>wait 6; input /range</command>
            </if>
        </rules>
    </spellcast>
    This is for COR - Awilda's Gun with Bronze Bullets on Worms in Aby-Ule. Goes through 3 stacks of bullets every 30 minutes. Bring a WHM fren along and make a silence spellcast, akin to the one above that just spams Silence, and you can afk* happily to get Skills. With Skill food, went from 250>398 in 8 hrs**. You could create a variable that stops it when you want, but I just /unload spellcast to cancel it.

    *subject to nearby aggro/links and wandering elementals.
    **milage may vary!

    Pastebin of your XML: http://pastebin.com/6zqxF2KA

    Basically what you need is a variable for your body, $TPbody for instance. In the rules, have one that checks for Impetus status and equip the appropriate body. In order to switch without performing an action that would require this rule check again you need to set up AutoExec to register the event "Impetus wears off" to trigger the switch to the body you want.

    For WS, you could just have two WS sets for Impetus up and Impetus down and in the rules for WS have it check for Impetus status and use the appropriate set. Since you'll be firing off the WS command, it will check for Impetus each time and should be all you need to do. For TP phase, though, I'm pretty sure you'd have to have AutoExec set up.

    Edit: The Pastebin is just so others can read it easier, I didn't really alter it except to remove some "-"s that were making it difficult for me to read. :D

    For WS, you can pipe the set like with TPing.

    TP: YourTPSetHere|$Impetus_Set
    WS: YourWSSetHere|$Impetus_Set

    Have $Impetus_Set on "BlankSet" when impetus is down and "Impetus_Set" when impetus is up. Then make a set called "BlankSet" which has no gear. Also, make a set named "Impetus_Set" that has Tantra Cyclas +2. Make a variable called Impetus_Set as well.

    I've seen this pop up a few times and always wondered about it. What does the piping accomplish in an equip command? does it specify aftercast or something?

    Piping is basically "overlaying" gear. The set furthest to the right overrides slots to the left. So, if you have:

    Set 1: Body, Hands, Feet
    Set 2: Hands, Legs, Ring

    +

    Equip="Set1|Set2"

    You'll equip a total of Body, Hands, Feet, Legs, and Ring

    Where there is conflict, you'll choose Set2 over Set1.

    I'm having problems with spellcast, pretty much because i'm a slow learner, when I read how to make rules its like seeing a different language. My problem is having 2 WS's in the same xml, it's confusing. At the moment i'm using someone elses spellcast and just put my gear instead of their's, and even that took me time to figure out to not break it.

    This is what I have at the moment

    Code:
    <?xml version="1.0" ?>
    <spellcast>
    	<config
    			RequireVersion="2.16"

    I do use autoexec, but not for this type of rule at all. I also don't have an omph, but in a few hours of getting COR to 99 and ~20 merits, I never once shot off a single orichalcum bullet, so it is working for me. The only way this rule would fuck up is if you're spamming your macros over and over.

    @ryukin182, You may wish to clearly state your problem, I was unable to discern much but '2 WS's'.

    And I'm back with another hiccup on my SMN spellcast. I've recently started using /SCH and my day/weather rules are not working with storm spells. Am I going to have to make an entirely set of new rules matching each storm spell to each avatar to make this shit work or is there an easier workaround? I'm probably just blanking and knowing me, it's something stupid and easy that I'm overlooking.

    http://pastebin.com/s1rGiy2S

    Thanks in advance, you guys are <3

    EDIT: Disregard, it appears to be working correctly. I'm just a tard or something.

I also don't have an omph, but in a few hours of getting COR to 99 and ~20 merits, I never once shot off a single orichalcum bullet, so it is working for me. The only way this rule would fuck up is if you're spamming your macros over and over.
    What I'm on about is the situations when you run out of bullets, and you don't know that you have. The spellcast itself works fine with the rules already in place, but if you have ONLY an Orich Bullet in your inventory, the rule doesn't remove the bullet, stop the attack and say "Mate, you fucking up!"

    I've tried a couple ways of shifting it around, and I just cannot get spellcast to check ANY form of gear I have against a rule and stop an action thereafter. Idk :/ This one has me beat, and until I can make sure that this rule works 100% without any additional bullets in my inventory, then I'll use it. :/

    Or, is there just a remove function within spellcast? Cuz <ammo>remove</ammo> aint working for me. :/
