Where are you keeping the .xml? The spellcast.dll should be in the windower/plugins/ folder, and the .xml should be in windower/plugins/spellcast/
If you're still getting the 'lite mode' message, make sure you don't have the 'lite' version in the plugins folder and are inadvertently loading that.
Sorry to bug you guys but I'm having trouble creating variables for my trial of the magian staves. I tried to create 3 different staff variables, and it doesn't seem to be working.

Do I need to put crazy rules in the bottom or will it work like that if I have them listed in the equip section?
Check your init.txt and make sure your are loading SpellCast.dll and not SpellCastLite.dll.
Only other thing I can think.
A quick question I have 2 Literae Hats for my BLM 1 for nuking 1 for dark magic how can I tell spellcast which literae hat to put into each set? TY!

I ended up using the rule that shalafi posted that only cancels shadows if there is 1 or 2 left and works out great! Thanks a lot for that!

Isnt working, i think it might not matter anyway though, since pants says enhance Efflux effect, so i just need to have them on when spell takes effect, but still i thought it was really wierd since it works with the other 2 job abilities im using the xml with
Edit: Also!! Is there a rule or something that /echo's me recast after each spell? cause right now i have it on normal macros

Can one set an if rule based on the TYPE (Polearm, Katana, Staff) of weapon?
I haven't tested this yet. Make sure to go through the XML to see how Tabula Rasa works. The JA choice is different for Light/Dark Arts, but you'll be triggering all the JAs through Parsimony/Penury. Dark Arts will use Pars/Alac/Ebull/Imma and Light Arts will use Pen/Cele/Access/Rapture.

I found out what the issue was with my spellcast but i dont know how to solve it... For some reason its not recognizing leg gear, it doesnt swap legs at all, dont know why...

Try putting quotes around "yes" and why do you have Tayt for BA? Isn't it just for Efflux?

Oh i had 2 for BA, 1 for CA and 1 for Efflux, the wrong one mustve come from me copy pasting the one that worked and replacing it with mavi tayt +2, but that isnt the issue anymore.
I discovered that the issue is with pants in general, i cant get the xml to gear swap to any pants with any spell or WS, but all the other equipment swaps fine...
