    Ok I've got a new problem with my mnk spellcast: I am no longer in charge for what items to have on me.

    Let me explain, I've done all my sets autoswap to have the best item on in any situation but now I can't decide when to have a pdt/mdt set on, because it will auto swap it out without having a chance to stop it.

    I know that you can make macros when setting commands inside spellcast to lock a piece but I don't understand how, and last time I fiddled with my sc xml I totally made it crash and burn, so I can't do it myself while I'd love to.

    For example I'd love to be able to force my neck/body to be pdt and then UNFORCE it to have the swaps come back out with macros, how that works?

    It would help a lot when I'm tanking, especially if I could have my sets swapping---> oh shi huge spell incoming---> macro full mdt in-->eat spell---> go back to autoswapping.

    as you can see there's a "tank" generic set made in, but I don't know how to make it stick when needed.It's just a backbone didn't even bother editing with pdt pieces, and it's missing a full mdt set, just because I don't know what I have to do <.<

    I've been told variables and that, but it was made a bit too complex for a technologically impaired duck like me.Make it simple if possible so I can learn and don't need to ask for help next time!(i've read spellcast guides but didn't get it right <.<)

    This would equip Cure Clogs / Cure Potency set when you casted Cursna though. I'm not quite sure how to do it with 2.2 coding, but on 2.3+ you put NotSpell="Cursna" after the ifspell="Cur*".

    I'll simplify your MNK rules in a sec (It's unnecessarily complex atm), but as for your issue, are you saying you want to change your TP set to MDT/PDT/So forth and stay in that set until you change back?

    Also, Add a space between words for your WS/JA set (Dragonkick => Dragon Kick) and replace your WS + JA Rules with this:

    Also, have you checked to make sure that your counter set is on when Perfect Counter is up? It seems you have Idle/Engaged/Counter tied to "aftercast" while you're engaged with no way to distinguish between them. What I *think* you want is....

    If not meleeing (Running/standing) => Standing set
    Meleeing without Perfect Counter for max dmg => Engaged
    Meleeing, but need PDT for the entire fight => PDT
    Meleeing, but need MDT (Either the entire fight or for a particular spell) => MDT
    Meleeing, but have Perfect counter up => Counter

    What would be priority for when counter is up? MDT/PDT > Counter or?

    I don't think Cure Clogs are getting put in pre-cast, as my very rough eyeball tests say the spell is going off at same time in clogged port Jeuno. Yes, I'm aware my current precast/fastcast set is empty, but I want to leave the rule there so I can just add gear as I pick it up.

    Thoughts?

    You can verify whether they're going in by hitting your cure macro and opening the equip screen immediately thereafter.

    Or even better, move other feet to the satchel and have no feet equipped. Hit the cure macro and see if they equip.

    Add ShowGearSwaps="True" to the config line, is it trying to equip anything precast? If so, is it something else (other than Clogs)

    You had a </else> missing after stun (I removed Fast cast + the <else> from that since I wasn't sure what you wanted) that caused Non-stun spells to go through a bunch of nonsense.

    That fix won't swap in the cure clogs, because it's still overwritten later when it gates the <if skill="*magic"> as a 1, then the <if skill="ElementalMagic"> as a 0, hitting the <else> as a 1 and overwriting the previous clog swap with <equip when="precast|midcast" set="Standard" />

    With your fix, Stun still hits the same issue, but at least the clogs should work.

    elseif is your friend.

    I've spent too much time on this. I'm going to go drink and beat my head against a wall and hope someone here can tell me why this doesn't work. It's supposed to always keep my swords equipped once I hit the macro but it keeps sending me back into staves after the mob dies.

    It's just the number of comments + the fact that it wouldn't color-distinguish in notepad++. I haven't looked too deeply into the ruling.

    Really? I wrote the whole thing in Notepad++, setting the language to XML worked fine for me.

    I get the color now, I'm saying when I initially read it (From pastebin), I didn't get the color. Also, did the script work that I gave you?
