Installed PS3 games

Ok so I tried my luck on Google and other than stumbling on answers on message boards by 13 year olds I haven't found what I was looking for.

My issue is as follows: I've had a PS3 for like 2 years now and I never had to delete an installed game before, but lately space is getting thinner and thinner, especially since I had no money back when I bought it to get a bigger model...

ANYWAYS: in the case of a game like Little Big Planet, for which I have most of the DLC, what will happen if I uninstall the game? Unless I'm mistaken I can uninstall a game like GTAIV or MGS4 without hesitating as long as I keep my saved game, correct?

I can't recall if game install data is saved along with DLC for all game titles, but either case doesn't matter as you can just redownload the DLC freely from your PSN account in the case you do have to.
(though I'd shoot myself if I had to redownload the 80 some DLC tracks I got for Rock Band 1-by-1)

Only one I'm unsure of is MGS4 since Konami decided to do DLC through *their* own (pos) service, so you'll have to check on that yourself.
(I'm assuming it's an on/off switch tied to your Konami ID since all players are forced to download the new content packs anyway to see the new player models and stuff)

Game Data is seperate from Game Saves, so deleting it won't affect your game progress. (long as you update the game before using said save data if you do it from a fresh re-install)
