I was always under the impression that a 'slut' generally had a deep need for sex (not necessary with multiple people) while a 'whore' was the typical sleep with anyone and everyone sort of person.

I think when insults are being hurled though, they are both interchangeable at this point.

Sluts and nymphos could be considered a little more interchangeable, though I usually define a slut as someone who will fuck the first thing he/she considers mildly appealing, or out of boredom. A nympho I define as having a genuine addiction to sex, in the same way you'd define a crack addiction(or any other).

Wouldn't a girl have to actually like you first before actually sleeping with you? Or are some of us assuming that the fact she even agreed to go out with you in the first place means she wanted to have sex with you? Maybe the second is truer for men, but generally speaking, if she is sleeping with you, most often than not it means she likes you (IE knows enough about you) enough to sleep with you. So it's not "giving it up to whoever", it's giving it up to people she likes.
