So, I just got back from the midnight showing. Wow. Tom Hanks was amazing yet again. It was a fantastic film, I recommend it completely.

Going to see this Monday. Angels and Demons is one of my favorite books (sooooooo much better than the Da Vinci Ciode) so I am hopeful its going to be a food adaptation. I actually liked the first movie but I know this book has a much better storyline to follow than that one did so I'm happy to hear good press so far :D
tom motherfucking hanks can do no wrong
Are you fucking joking me?
Spoiler: show
I can honestly go on.. Was horrible movie.
Wait, then what the fuck do they use instead of the assassin as the antagonist?
Well, based on those brief spoilers, I'd say:

I'd say the real problem here is expecting anything other than pretentious mediocrity from DB. I have read this and DaVinci and both were decent stories, but horribly written. Additionally the whole presenting stuff as facts that aren't irks me to no end.
Spoiler: show
i saw it and thought it was pretty good
although i have not read the book so I can't make any sort of judgment call there.
my sister has read it and was fussing about how inaccurate the film was as compared to the book
First few minutes with the LHC was cool. Rest of the movie was zzzzzzzz.
LHC stuff was cool - rest was decent.
Lame plot twist is lame. Easily called it like 40% through the movie I don't know how you people could have sat through the book after that.
8 bucks to see Tom Hanks run around Rome. It was lame and I didn't read the books so it was almost unenjoyable.
It pissed me off that they didnt explain that the Pope was actually Camerlengo's father, and that he was a child of science.
Spoiler: show
I was also looking for more plot development between Langdon and Verra, and of course the Hassassin, He was one of my favorite parts of the whole book. I dunno how they equated him to being some italian dude with little circle glasses in the movie, but w/e. Overall, the movie was beautifully shot throughout rome. I just wish they didnt piss away alot of the important stuff that made the book one of my favs.
yup.
Loved the movie.
ITT: People assuming movies stick to the books word for word.
Get out of here, that never happens. Da Vinci Code was a snore fest, so they took out small points of plot development to appease those who don't read the book and wanted a thriller.
I enjoyed the book as a thriller. I'm hoping to enjoy the movie as an altered thriller (that's what I've learned so far from watching movie renditions of awesome books).
A&D was the last book I ever read when it came out, so after seeing the movie last night, I also noticed a lot of stuff was missing from the book. However, this is ALWAYS what happens in novel -> movie scenarios, so I wasn't overly disappointed. Beyond that I thought it was definitely entertaining.
