I havn't known Hale in a long time(2005ish maybe), so you may want to just ignore this if you get a different report from someone newer. The only thing I can really comment on is his attitude from then.

When he ran his own sky LS, he was always made an effort to make sure as many people were happy and look after his members. During the peak of our LS, he started to show up less because he felt the sackholders were doing their job so he didn't need to be around 24/7 to make sure things run smoothly. However, once the LS started to slip down, he started to come more to make sure everything would work out properly and that everyone was doing their job. He rarely ever screamed/got angry when the time called for him to be calm and would deal with problems after the event as to not ruin the chance of the event continuing with less problems. As for gear, back then he pretty much had everything a basic NIN could get for tanking through sky/sea/AH and his RNG was pretty much the same(nothing super fancy because we were just a sky LS).

I was in FTA with Hale for a little bit (I just recently left, and iirc he joined just slightly after I did, about 10 months ago maybe?). I wasn't on very much, but I saw him mostly on rdm (also did a few random things with him on nin, but not a lot). He always seemed really quiet and competent, more of a get down to business kind of guy. The only thing I could think to say negatively about him was there was a time when it seemed like he stopped showing up for awhile. I was only able to make it for 2~3 events out of 5 every week, so its possible that I just wasn't on the same time he was.

A few FTA members lurk here, I'll see if I can point them this direction.

Quiet competence is the perfect description of Hale. I've know the guy off and on during our social LS days, and he's always willing to help out with nary any gain.

haha i didnt even know this guy still played, was always chill when i knew em very calm ran his shit well as OB said gear was decent all round, nice guy always looked to cover slack and had best bazzar comment on garuda =3 =D gl hale
