Ron Paul's son Rand to run for KY Senate in 2010

Raw Story Ron Paul’s son launches exploratory committee for Senate run

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlH14hWxHMk

Very interesting.. from what I've read he has an even more pronounced libertarian bend than his father. Also, being that this was only an announcement that he was forming an exploratory committee (meaning he's running but it isn't quite official yet) I didn't hear him mention whether he would seek the seat as a Republican or an independent candidate, though it was implied in the interview with Rachel.

Seriously though the interview is good, and like his dad his views are a stark contrast to the strict reactionary mold that the Republican Party has been trying to cram itself into lately.

The interview wasn't that great. I heard echoes of "Mr. Burns, your campaign seems to have the momentum of a freight train, what makes you so popular?" in the interviewer and zero specifics were discussed. I'll have to read a lot more about his economic policies to upgrade him from Empty Suit.

I first read that as Ru Paul's son, which made the KY make more sense.

They are gonna be identical to his fathers, obviously.

It's enough of a crime that his father named him after Ayn Rand. That actually lowered my opinion of dad, sad to say it.

Rand is short for Randall. His dad is not actually a big fan of Ayn Rand from what I've read.

Rand Paul? A lot better of a name than Roland Burris naming his son after him and THEN naming his daughter Rolanda

How about Colin Powell Republicans (also known as liberals)?

I really wish Limbaugh was the radical Democrats portray him to be. He'd be a lot more entertaining and convincing that way.

He's trolling, but honestly the he brought up Colon Powell reminded me about how bad it gets me when Republicans howl "SUPPORT ARE TROOPS" and then call people like Max Cleland un-American traitors.

Just because he is a "war hero" doesn't mean he is immune to cross-examination. I'll get back to you on the dude after I run a LexisNexis search or two.
