    Wikipedia. Fuck.
I can't believe how little attention this game has gotten, I own it for both PC and XBox360.
If you are a Diablo hack'n'slash looting kind of fan you will love this game. With a level cap of 200, 6 classes and so many ways to spec your character no two character's seem the same as another (941 skill points to spend total). 600 Sidequests, a lengthy Good and Evil main quest and dragons and mini bosses you will find threw out the 22 square mile map that drop rare and epic pieces of gear.

Anybody else been playing this game? Seem like this game just came in under the radar... It has a few bugs and problems but for the most part it is a very well made game.

I heard the pc version was bad but the console versions are better? I may pick it up at some point during the summer then.

Personally I do like the Console version better. You can actually macro more spells and weapons on the console version than you can on the PC version. They actually did a pretty good job implementing the controls on the console version.

I got this yesterday, and already put it up on Half.com for $7 less than I bought it for. I find it to be awful. It is nothing like Diablo. There have been comparisons, but I just can't see the similarity. It's boring, lacking animations, and not player friendly at all. I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to games, but I don't like this game at all.

The closest this game comes to is the Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance series, which honestly I had a lot more fun with.

I respect your opinion, I agree that this game is definitely not the best ARPG I have ever played and the story can be a bit lacking excitement in the beggining(which most of this genre are). If I had to give it a score I think it would deserve a 7.8 maybe an 8

If you don't mind me asking what class did you try out and how many hours did you play? Honestly I was not really hooked on the game until about 8 hours into the game and at the end of chapter 2 of the main quest when you have to take down Gar'Colossus. Here is a vid of the boss(not me), I took him down a little different as High Elf though using Incendiary Showers (Comet).

Not long after that I obtained my race specific mount and the mobs I have been fighting have gotten a lot more challenging and there is a lot more variety in mobs.

I have recently started exploring using a map I found online to challenge my self with Notorious monsters( MapLib.net - Sacred 2 Boss Map of Ancaria ). As soon as I hit 75 I am going to switch to Gold difficulty which will make the game a lot more challenging.

This is General > Gaming, and there is no topic in general about Sacred 2. I just posted the review as an overview of the game for anyone who has not heard of it (less typing for me that way). Don't tell me that there are no other threads in here with copypasta reviews.

The review is complete garbage. After reading the quote all I would know about Sacred 2 is that it sounds like every so-called "action-rpg" ever made. Also a huge lol at saying the consoles play better and then go as far as calling it streamlined. EDIT: God damn I can't get over how retarded the first paragraph is. This man gets paid to write this doesn't he?

Now where can I find more information about this game?

    Thank you Mr. BRP

I removed the review as I am not really interested in peoples opinions on the review. Just seeing peoples impressions of the game.

I played it for 30 minutes and was bored out of my mind. I spent some time running around and killing random mobs but got frustrated when I couldn't figure out how to get my sword/shield to stay equipped at the same time.

Sacred might be more fun with people, but I honesty couldn't muster up the will power to keep grinding my warrior because the combat seemed so dull. Luckily for me the guy at gamestop let me return it and get my money back. However, if I knew that there were other people on BG playing this on XBL I would have been open to giving the game a try in co-op.

I could see getting bored playing by yourself. I specifically bought the game to play with 2 long distant friends, I don't think I could play it by myself either.

I got this tuesday, played online with some friends and by myself a bit. Didnt like it either way, the control isnt responsive at all, I had to hold buttons 5-10 secs just to get the menu to open or an action to take place.

I really was hoping the game was going to be fun online, and it didnt change, it was still like watching paint dry. The character customization wasnt deep as they said it would be either, two hair styles and 2 colors are your only choices.

The game was incredibly glitchy as well, and I know their patching it soon, but meh the game is just plain awful, I returned the game wed and paid off infamous.

HOLY CRAP YOU PEOPLE ARE HARD TO PLEASE.

Don't believe the bullshit above this post.

    The customization is EXTREMLY deep,

The character animations are fine, and actualy very detailed.

The controls are designed with a delay to eliminate the chance of opening the menu in the middle of combat.

There is more than 2 different hair colors for most characters.

My wife and I are having a blast playing this game. The voice overs are nicely done and often hilarious, the armor sets a very detailed and look great on the character models. There are shit tons of quests, and an unimaginable amount of weapons and gear to sift through. The game drops gears so often that camping Faf will make you cry all over again.
add 4 player on-line Co-op AND PvP to the mix and good gawd this game is a beast.

Shame on all those who returned it without even scratching the surface, or are just too dense to take a few mins to figure out the game play, or who are too lazy to wiki.

So giving a game 5 hours, and it's just as boring as it was in the first 30 mins isn't giving it enough time? At first the game feels like the original Tomb Raider. You see an enemy, and it's like "Holy Shit!" and it dies 2 seconds later. The quests are boring, the story is boring, I'll go so far to say as the opening CG movie is the best part about the game. Hurray let's go kill an enemy or escort a chracter, or kill an enemy and take an item back to the NPC. Granted, lots of games do this...but in a much better manner.

The animations are good? Are you on something? Or just seeing what you want to see? For a character who's job it is to do nothing but swing a sword, one animation for the entire game is entirely unacceptable. Not to mention you don't feel like you're accomplishing anything when taking town enemies. I don't expect action like God of War for every game, but make me feel like I'm mowing down some enemies, not just tirelessly holding a button. Hold down A, press alternative button once in a while for special attack, press down for potion, rinse, repeat. Even when fighting groups of enemies, this game is boring as anything. I'll be glad when this sells over the weekend on Ebay, so I'm rid of it.

The voice over work is terrible. It is very poorly written and acted out. It's funny in a way that the original Resident Evil is, but I don't think that's entirely acceptable in gaming today, unless it's intentional which I don't think it is here.

Why 1up gave this game an A-

Why 1up gave this game an A- I will never know, as it deserves IGN's rating of a 6.0.

In 5 hours you didn't scratch the surface of what the game has to offer. The quest are not boring, each 1 has its own twist, alot of them are multi-part, some are really easy and others are very risky. but the main story line is kinda lame, i'll give you that.

The animations are good, each spell, each combat art, each buff has its own unique animation, even each weapon type has its own animation. Sure if you have the camera always zoomed out some details will be lost but the general effect is still there. If you had played more than 5 hours into the game you would realize that you can assign 12 different attacks (not counting combo slots) and actualy be able to use any of those attacks by 2 or less button pushes. im over 10 hours in and im just starting to unlock and spec the more powerful abilities.

The voice acting is either hilarious, or so poorly written that its hilarious. Both of which are fine with me.

I realize bashing everthing is popular to do now-a-days (makes you feel good about yourself right?) but if you got this game hopping it would be a Diablo clone, then you have nothing to complain about. However, It does indeed seem you were hopping for something else.

I kinda enjoyed the first one for a 10-20h before putting it down. It was no D2 in term of fluidity, but the huge world map was fun to explore. The quest were dull, but walking in a random direction and oblitering everything on your path was fun.

I don't think I would buy this game, but it can't be that bad if its anything like the first one.
