Not really. /BLM really is a viable sub option for NIN at the 40-50 range. It does quite nicely given that you have the gil and tools to keep up the ninjutsu spam.

Not even close. A (properly geared) nin/rdm is pretty much the best dd at those levels. 100~200ish damage every 3 secs =Q

I tanked exclusively as nin/rdm from 40 until Colibri. If you don't want to spend the gil, thats understandable, but nin/rdm at those levels is ridiculously powerful.

Had one that I used to do UO with, I'd tigerkite on Bst, he'd burn the eyes down with Ni wheel spam, he'd have the small eyes dead by the time I got back up.

@40-50, with capped ninjutsu, you can get away with tanking as /BLM on NIN with the elemental wheel, as I've done it and it works flawlessly. Never tried /RDM tanking at that level, but I'm sure it'd be just as good. I hope you're a NIN and not just some idiot talking out of his ass :/

/RDM gets you the same tier of MAB along with Fast Cast, so it's superior.

RDM is clearly better, but in such a small way that either works fine. If somebody only had BLM leveled, I wouldn't tell them not to sub it for their NIN for the 10levels it works.

If any of this is applicable to you, you're likely taking Ninja to 75, and if that's the case, you'll need /RDM available to you anyway.

I used /rdm maybe a dozen times pre /dnc and one time post /dnc. It's not really a must have sub unless your LS does a bunch of Khims (or JoL? Never tried it)

I've never bothered with a NIN tank on it, but I guess. Only time I ever tanked Ixion I was NIN/RNG for 10ish minutes.

No stun procs generally gives /rdm the advantage.

Only tanked DI as nin once and it was /drk. With the amount of mobility necessary for the fight, I liked the higher ce/ve from stun on a longer timer. I could see having problems keeping up with hate due to many lower ce/ve hate tools, but player preference likely beats out any logistical complications with either sub. I personally prefer nin/drk for any fight that lasts longer than 5min, mostly because im stuck in '05. Anyone wanna buy some GM stock, or some bundled sub prime mortgages? I have it on good authority the prioce can ONLY go up.
