You can get 20kish an hour without a BRD. I've done it with a RDM and a WHM, and I'm sure plenty of other people here have, as well. Maybe you have also.

That doesn't mean having something along the lines of a BRD BRD COR x3 Melee PT isn't superior. Of course it is, but you aren't necessarily stuck with something as pitiful as 10k hourly without them.

Fuck that shit, I'm not tanking over some gimp as fuck WAR that can't be bothered to get on BRD when he has it levelled, and instead would rather go out with his Byakko's Axe/Osode/AF2 legs WAR to possibly get 15k, as there's no fucking way a moronic 5DD 1RDM/BLM party is going to get anything close to eclipsing 20k, especially on Fairy. I don't even want to know what that parse would've looked like with my polearm SAM/WAR against 4 other DDs. Shit's not happening, I don't need merits, I just need IS and maybe a little buffering. I merit for the enjoyment of it, not to boringly hack away for subpar EXP.

Well i had to take a break from the game shortly after i picked my mog bonanza tokens. When i was choosing them i started with 1936 due to my grandpa just passing a week or so before, and i figured id try his birth year, so i did 19360, 19361, all the way up to 19369, and sure enough i read 19367 hit and yes i chose that one too.

You just summed up in 1 post(and a lot of anger) of exactly why I stopped meriting a long time ago. Honestly, merit parties are a waste of time.

I can count one hand how many brds I've partied with. and how long they stick around. After awhile I tried my damndest to "act" and "pull" like a Brd using plain old Sleep and Sleep II. It didn't work out too well. Best I got with a Brd that actually stuck around for more than chain 10, we got 16k/hr and Chain 96. It's only 10 FUCKING THOUSAND EXP PER POINT. It should not take a GOT DAMN 2 HOURS to get 10,000 XP!

This shit is the main reason I've banked in 22 merits in nothing but FoV. I'm sick of worthless pickup parties.
