I do not know if it acted differently previously to hasso/seigan.

I also can't remember if 1 shadow ichi/ni gets overwritten by third eye. I haven't used sam/nin in months so I could really be wrong. The first two I know for sure work.

I'd also wager Blink overwrites third eye too, but who's dumb enough to sub mage and cast blink mid battle?

Anyways... We decided to 5 man (I was on sam, dual boxing my RDM mule... was on her most of the time. I kind of just used hasso and let him chip away switching over to WS now and then >.>) the Soboro NM late at night. Stunner d/c'd as soon as we popped, basically he stunned self-destruct then it did it right after so it wiped our dmg and stuff, we struggled to survive. All the people needing it were dead when it dropped so I didn't lot just yet. Then an add agro'd near the end and... yeah.

I needed it but it ended up falling to me cause no one lotted from getting fucked in the face by an add with no mp etc. >.>;

And yeah It was at 1% so I ran in to Berserk WS and I died to spikes right after.

Know what kills me? I've been doing Nin lately, and I'll have some mob debuffed so badly that I actually forget which Utsu I had up by the second shadow taken, then it wses and surprises me, making me twitch when I go to click the shadow off for Ichi and either double tap/miss taking it down on Ni > Ichi, or take it off at 85% and no effect myself.
