Hey, at least you have sky warp now.
Hey, at least you have sky warp now.
I locked my pt out of limbus today.![]()
Solo'd Satiator for pop item, won. Waited 1hr for repop, brought mule to hold second pop item, repeated, accidentally passed on both characters. Go me.
Update: Waited for another pop, began killing it again, got to 7% and PC crashed.![]()
Neither would I, but I also wouldn't spend my money on booze. I would spend it on M:TG cards, lol >.>;.
And if your game did look like that, a simple registry edit and FFXIstyle would improve it. I only mentioned buying a PC because he mentioned the possibility of the PC being a older model.
When asked why he fulltimes Maat's Cap...

What the fuck!? What is it that makes 90% of Maat´s cap owners so god damn retarded?
I mean I´ve seen really retarded Maat´s caps before but that just trumps them all by far.
Your avatar doesnt look retarded to me so you fine.
I feel ya.
To be honest, I feel that the entire concept of Maat's cap is what leads to this influence (Or pseudo-perception) that Maat's caps owners are bad players.
- Level every class to the level you beat Maat
- Be quick about leveling
To me, this screams "Don't settle down and learn what you're doing!" because time spent learning is time spent not XPing. Granted, you XP faster when you're a better geared player, but since XP is a group activity, you:
1. Rely on better PT members to maintain decent XP rates
2. Theoretically do get Maat's cap faster by not wasting time farming for gear you need/researching the best gear sets
Overall, the entire quest itself just promotes bad habits.
Well that depends on how you see Maat's Cap, if you see it as a reward for spamming jobs to 66+, then sure, that fits, if you see it as a reward for taking the time to level jobs properly then it works a lot better, I'll only get it when I've taken the time to level jobs properly :s
This is probably what SE had in mind with the Maat's Cap quest as opposed to Yugl's post, which is the most common result among those seeking a Maat's Cap. Especially since for many it's not so much about leveling and enjoying the jobs as it is the epeen or the stats on the item.
I knew a guy who was going for a Maat's cap once. Claimed he was a Pld main. He would constantly yell at me about how Plds need more Chr then Vit and how it helps lower the Provoke timer.
Let me see if I can find the Screenshot I have from a Maat´s cap owner with RDM main saying Haste lowers JA recast timers. Probably deleted it though.
I got my Cap because I was getting bored with the game and wanted a long term goal. It was going to be either Cap or Relic; decided on Cap. I did this primarily before SMN burns (got like 8~ levels on SMN and 1-2 on MNK through flow parties though) however and attempted to learn each job as I played them. But that is how it was for me before I decided on Cap anyways... I was always browsing Alla (yeah yeah) and then BG when I leveled a new job.
I'm not going to say that I learned everything about each job... in fact my BRD is an example of this. I leveled it as a merit whore and I equipped whatever looked good up to and including 75. But I'm still unsure about CHR vs. Skill for debuffs... moving on..
As far as learning all 15 jobs... most probably don't. Some just level to 66 for cap then abandon jobs. Others only got Cap to make certain jobs better. But others, yeah, some go all the way to 75 and still have no clue (see my BRD).
Now that flow parties are becoming popular, you're going to see lots of people with 75s, and some with Caps, who don't know wtf they are doing.
tl;dr: There are lots of stupids in this game but the Maat's Cap owners, like Relic owners, just stick out more.
EDIT: Also, to the "time spent learning the job" vs. "time spent exping" thing... you can learn while seeking or farming.. or idling... internet is your friend. Learning how a lv.29 THF works isn't going to help you when you ding 30.
I think it's the fact that a lot of people who get Maat's cap are so determined to get it that they can almost find a useful aspect about it for every job. Granted it is a very sexy item, but not sexy enough to full time on all jobs like 90% of Maat's cap owners decide to do.
Also, that guy Thend was using TK/KC @ Mantas and he has a zerg DRK w/o an LS...fail much?
