I work for AAA. Those numbers are fake![]()
Vajra is right. Quit your jobs, sell all your possessions to buy more guns and ammo. Find a cave in the mountains to ride out the inevitable decimation of the human population. It is not too late to save yourselves, but it soon will be.
Remember: They are all infected, shoot on sight.
Ok I am in agreement with everyone here that the swine flu panic is more of an epidemic than the swine flu itself however I must point out that looking at total number of deaths for a disease is misleading. A more accurate way to look at it is the percentage of the death rate. I do not know what the mortality rate of swine flu is so I don't know how it compares to the regular flu.
A disease that has only killed 10 people may sound great compared to 30,000 dead from another disease but it sounds less great if the first disease only infected 20 people and the second infected 100,000,000.
I cant take that mithra guy serious with that fucking sig, i'm dying
I shoulda gone into a little more detail earlier but the Case Fatality Ratio (CFR in my earlier post) seems to be a pretty good estimate of deaths that were actually caused by this version of swine flu. For this epidemic the CFR thus far is ~0.4%, while seasonal flu is usually ~0.1%. The worst pandemics in history had CFRs ~2.5 - 5%.
I'm honestly not sure how that number relates to the mortality but I know there's a post on that effect measure blog (you may have to go back to some previous posts) that explains it in good detail and can give you some indication about how severe (or not) 0.4% is.
For what it's worth, every person in the US that has died due to swine flu had preexisting health conditions.
I'm already posting from my Quarantine Cave. See you fuckers when the new world order begins.
You've got nothing! We'll never honor those bogus treaties!I am fucking on to you, dude.
Just remember Virtue, you humans aren't in the same league as us swinians.
Just because 1 company (GSK (GlaxoSmithKline)) is producing doesn't mean everyone else is doing that yet.
I also read somewhere that they can only manufacture 1 vaccine at a time, so we're going to need a big group effort for ppl to finish production on time.Originally Posted by World Health Organization(TODAY)
And that goes directly against the crap you were spouting earlier about noone making the vaccine and there going to definitely be a massive shortage. Even the WHO is taking a step back and realizing that this most likely will not be a problem until the next standard flu season. It is far better to attempt to produce a better vaccine, as opposed to more crappy vaccine (but in the event people need it early, they are even starting production now). Those in charge seem to be moderately on the ball for this one.
I'd keep telling you to chill out, but influenza typically does better in lower temperatures than higher ones~
No wait, chill out.![]()
