you're getting shitty answers because, as usual, the answer is that shit is situational

if you're not doing any worthwhile damage while tp'ing, but good ws dmg, and still hitting hard enough to actually get tp, *and* feeding the mob assloads of tp doesn't matter, go ahead and use mkris, hell use it alone if tp is all you're concerned about

if your melee damage matters you won't top joyeuse alone

the math has been done and is there for you to find it, feel free to keep looking or redo the math yourself, but you're not going to get good results from "hay gusy can you guys look through all the search results for me? I hit the search button but then I had to actually read stuff and yeah that's too much"

    if you're here to try to prove that you can go merit as cor/nin and come up with good parses, alla is {Over there.}
No, I got the information I requested a few posts above yours. I'm not complaining about the shitty answers, just shitty posts that don't have any form of info in them in the first place.

Nor did I ever say I was trying to prove anything about COR/NIN. Contrary to what some people may think, /BRD /RDM /WAR /NIN /THF /RNG /WHM and maybe even /BLM have their uses as subs, because shit IS in fact situational.

So /NIN sub isn't bad ALWAYS. I prefer /NIN in Dynamis-Bubu if we're fighting the rabbits, and I use it Nyzul because with my Nyzul setup (which has cleared 100 and gotten 82k tokens) it's the most effective subjob.

I'm so sick of everyone being so judgmental around here. Last I checked, I posted this is STANDARD, didn't I? I'm not acting all high and mighty trying to prove my shit is better than yours.

I just wanted an answer to a simple question that has been touched on many times, but not answered to my liking. I got that answer (Thank you to the people who posted math for me, since I'm no melee guy. And Falisa for linking the other two threads).

I got what I needed, the information is archived in a (almost) concise manner for the next Corsair to find when he searches.

If a mod could please lock this thread to avoid future loldrama, that would be awesome. Thanks!

And what the world needs is more people tping on dynamis bunnies and nyzul mobs with 8 dmg multi-hit weapons.

    Especially Corsairs.

You don't want people to be "judgemental" or give you a hard time because you posted in standard?

Don't read the first 5 replies to your question, which have math and specifics on exactly when joy+mkris can equal or potentially surpass joy alone, and reply to them with some bullshit about how it "hasn't been decided," i.e.:

This is an interesting topic, though. And it sounds to me like it hasn't been "debated to death" as I once thought, as there doesn't seem to be a clear agreement here yet.

Because giving a mob 100 TP in 2.75 seconds is worse than giving it 100 TP in 3 seconds?

    ...OK, sorry, I exaggerated.

In practice, the difference will actually be nil because the mob breaks 100 TP on the first attack round from the melees, regardless of what weapon you are using. The only difference between M.Kris and Joy is whether the mob has 180 TP or 190 TP in the first second of meleeing.

Seriously, if you want to make an argument against giving mobs TP, Dynamis is just about the worst example in the game to pick.
