Something tells me the PSW info and Lord of Shadow are unrelated to the countdown site and all the hinting at a new MGS. I wouldn't get your hopes up that MGS is done.

The only problem with Lord of Shadow is that it's not being developed by Konami but rather produced. MercurySteam is developing it and Kojima has nothing to do with them. They also developed Clive Barker's Jericho which sucked out the ass and had some of the dumbest, out of nowhere, impossible to pull off on the first try quicktime events. Hopefully we can look forward to more of the same in Lord of Shadow.

Someone may have brought it up in this thread already but I can't be bothered to look through a massive five pages, but someone mentioned the fact that the timer ultimately ends on June 1st or the day of Microsoft's E3 conference but the timer ends on June 1st JP time which happens to be May 31st.

I wasn't by any means saying the trailer was related to that image. No way the graphics would match. Just more so towards the image somebody had posted before to show that they were unrelated.

Little obvious it's a game centered around Raiden, though would be interesting if it was before or after the events of MGS4. Could we be in store for emo Raiden when he lost Rose, or could it be him defending his own family after MGS4?

I believe they said Snake's story was finished, but never actually said MGS series was over. Everything hints to Raiden.. the Lightning clouds signify Raiden, and the "!" at the end is the MGS sign

Yeah I do seem to remember Kojima leaving the door open for another MGS game. Think he said something to the affect of "The Solid Snake saga is over" or something along those lines.

After looking at the flash, the one character that keeps throwing me off is that backwards looking 9 thing. I tried to draw the symbol out on paper and it looks like it could also be a lower case "e" or possibly part of the "@" symbol as has been mentioned before.

So along with the 3, 5, and E that keeps repeating it could be "5@E3" or some other crazy combo with a lowercase "e".
