Need some input before I head to this con

Alright I know the percentage rate of lj-like posts are through the roof right now but I am 4 days away from this event we are going to and I need some advice, opinions, inputs, flaming, the usual. Here goes:

Every year we go to this convention called FANIME, it's in San Jose, CA. My friend Dick invited me last year, we went with his girlfriend, two of her friends, and a few of our friends. They rented a room right next to the convention, so after a long day of con fun we grabbed brews and started drinking. Apparently I was so wasted that I glanced over to his girlfriend's friends and told them this exact line.

"You two look hella hott"

That one line made his girlfriend (read: not her friends I directed the line to) pissed. I know it sounds like there is more to it, but there truly isn't. That was the one line, and everyone just kept having fun and drinking.

So she is bringing a new friend this year and apparently she told Dick to tell me there wasn't any room. Dick has been dating her for 2 years now and she has had his balls in her purse and his dick up her ass ever since. Obviously he had no balls to tell me so he gets another one of our friends to tell me instead.

He tells me there is no room and that I can't go, I immediately call BS and ask him if that is really the story. He says no and tells me about that small, stupid, non-serious comment. I originally didn't know that they didn't want me to go, so I was raging.

So we talk about how fucking stupid that is, and we got together with our other friends that are going and have all agreed to keep my coming along a secret between us. I am just going to show up by surprise, the thing that worries me is that I don't want her to become a bitch and just ruin the entire day for everyone. Thank god we aren't sharing a room, we rented our own ourselves, so they really have no fucking right to decide who can't and can go.

The thing I am seeking advice on is:

Should I wait and show up by surprise for the lulz?

Or should I try to talk things over with them before we go?

While I would like to do the first, I am too fucking pissed that he actually made one of my good friends try to lie to me. My poor friend for some reason still listens to everything he says, but this was the limit for him as well.

Heh just wanted some advice in case anyone else was thrown into a sort of uncomfortable situation like this. I just want to have a good time and I know we probably won't if I do surprise them like that. I am sure we will just leave them be if they don't like it.

What's more fucked up is that she isn't even letting her own friend stay in the room they both got so they can get their fuck on for the millionth time. How do you not take care of the guest you bring along? Well either way we will see how things go.
