you only use full usukane for sam? Its only good when you need the accuracy. At 90+ use a turban set up with dusk and byakkos.

You could also use a full usukane combo with sword strap+one rajas. Depending on accuracy I either use pole grip + 2 acc rings or sword strap+1 sniper+1 rajas. The upgrade from sword strap to polegrip is about 1-1.5% more dmg ( from memory sword strap is 1.3% more # of melee hits and ws, with 1% less average WS dmg) . But pole grip+2 acc ring vs sword strap+1acc ring+1 rajas is about the same (but you gotta be low on acc acc, in the ~85%s).

Edit; I know there is a trend to use cuchulain's mantle , pcc over torque etc, recently. But it fails w/o the right food. It's important. Coeurl subs (~75 ATT) or meat kabobs (~60 ATT) aren't an option if you use those ( except colibris of course). You need at least a rabbit pie but preferably red curry, and a bard ( preferably 2 brd or brd+cor, to take advantage of the attack boost on food). Because a set up with cuchu, Pcc, 2 HQ sniper and coeurl subs, will have less accuracy and less attack than a pizza set up with good old foragers, Sea torque, merman's rajas ulthalam.

Like I said for sam, I rly only use it in 2 spots atm and w/o dusk+1 or an ace's I don't rly care to make a mix/match build. I have a macro on my slot still that puts on my gear that I had before full usu (I've only had teh body 2 days now) so it is still there, but I don't think I'll be getting any use out of it.

As for mnk, I have a couple single slot macros "Rajas" "Cuch" "Forager's" "Fenrir's Earring" "Minuet Earring" "Merman's Earring" and I'll swap up those slots as needed.

I got a new item recently for my WHM so I'll post the set I use it in:

Capped -enmity (50) with my standard healing set. No -enmity merits and have no plans on touching them.

The only things I plan to adjust are:
- Obtaining White Tathlum
- Obtaining Blessed Trousers +1
- After getting those 2 items, I'll replace my neck item with Morgana's Choker.
- I use staff + grip because of no Legion Scutum. After getting one I'll use Templar + Legion Scutum.

Any other suggestions?

You'd be better off replacing Apollo's/Staff Strap with Templar/Muse once you get that extra 2 -enmity, and keeping the Benign. And if you're going to replace the Benign with anything, though, make it Ajari rather than Morgana's.

I have a seperate build for Cure V. And Cure V is still why I own an Ajari necklace, lol.

My plan - least for weapons, was Templar+Legion for all cures except cure V, and Templar+Muse for V.

If anything, I abuse the enmity- the most for Cure IV.

Nice whms there. I rate my whm pretty high, not to sound big headed or anything but it's rare to find whms who actually take care with their gear. I'd suggest going for whm af gloves+1 but apart from that, looks really good.

Also, Medicine ring is a situational piece as whm. You are NOT able to use it for every single fight and thus most people post their gear and then add that they have the option to use Medicine ring. However, it's a piece that should always be considered.

Yeah, Healer's Mitts +1 is the best Cure V piece in the hands slot if you want to max Cure V. The difference between that and Blessed Mitts +1, though, is a bit neglectable. With 132 MND, 62 VIT, and 291 skill (27% cure potency), my Cure V does 891. Using Blessed Mitts +1 instead (133 MND, 62 VIT, 276 skill) I'd be curing for 890.

So the difference is indeed VERY small, and to an extent haste could be more useful for Cure V. Healing Magic skill does squat for cures, but that's the only case where it's better than other alternatives, as if there was a MND+9 hands piece, Healer's Mitts +1 would only be useful for a melee WHM. You'd be surprised how many WHMs I see with a healing torque (it does about as much good as MND+1 >.>)... and using Cleric's Pantaloons instead of Blessed Trousers or something. It's sickening to see WHMs use those for cures, and I seriously want to say "gtfo my job".

And yes, medicine ring is a situational piece of equipment, but it's nice when there's no danger in using it.

That's honestly true for any job, people just notice it less when it's on mage jobs. There are so many BLU's out there who wear nothing but MP+ gear and don't gear swap at all. I've seen just as many BLM's who full time nuking gear or just switch to Errant Body/Dark Staff for resting and nothing more.

WHM is definitely the worst in terms of most people not giving a shit about how it's geared, because it's probably the job that can get away with gimping it most easily. WHM is more about knowledge of mobs and situations, reaction speed, and ensuring you balance your Cures with others around you (i.e. not Cure III'ing your PLD every time they fall under 90%) than about gear. That said, I took a lot of pride in my WHM gear and I can definitely feel the difference now on my new character. I still manage to do a good job, though.
