Total melee damage + Total Weaponskill damage = total damage,
Example: Soboro = 100K + 250K = 350K
Amano = 150K + 230K = 380K

If you think you’re going to use Weaponskills 2.5X times more than Amano, hastes being equal, it doesn’t happen.

While the statement that Soboro has no “DoT at all” was an exaggeration, it was an exaggeration to make a point. The point being that:

The melee damage portion of the Soboro is significantly less than that of the Amano, so much so that the WS portion of the Soboro, while higher than the WS portion of the Amano, is not high enough to produce a higher total damage than the Amano.

In some parties, the type of party that I’m talking about, hate is irrelevant, in fact the WAR *wants* hate for even better melee damage total than your Soboro.

And I post on the forum because I can, I have nothing against theories, which is what most of the math you and your vocal posters tend to spew. However, I subscribe to the view that theories were meant to explain observations, not the other way around. Empirical observations and facts of reality do not exist to conform to your theories.

one problem here is that fighter's roll Extremely favors the other two DD compared to soboro, so that's kinda invalid since you're give them extra advantage as compared to doing sam roll.

Also, I found this parse, its all the evidence necessary to say that Apoc DRK's will get shit on by noob DRGs, because everyone knows if its on the parse, its 100% fact across the board.

Edit: Wow, looking at that parse actually makes me laugh. So Draken was on Soboro SAM, only got off 31 more WS's than you, raped your GK average WS, and hit a 1900+ Namas. You should post the rest of that parse so we can further identify the bullshit you have just dumped on this thread. Either the kid was AFK smoking crack the majority of the party, decided to hold TP twice as long as needed, or he was on RNG. Going to go out on a limb and pick option C. Somehow his Soboro manged to get a higher max Crit than your Onimaru too. Good stuff.

If you accept that this game doesn't have a random number generator deciding how much damage every melee hit and WS does then you are admitting that everything could be reverse engineered (as it has been) to give calculations to work out everything. I really hate to break it to you but most things have been figured out and your empirical observations are probably often tainted by your own bias.

No I don't really feel like trolling your post history but thanks for the offer, and since you then decided to post it anyway I can see why you didn't want to. The parse clearly shows either draken wasn't there for part of the party or he was doing something very wrong.

How did a soboro sam only manage 30% more melee hits than Onimaru sam? How is his highest crit with soboro higher than your highest with Onimaru? Why did he only manage to get 10% more WS off? Why is he subbing /war?

If you think your parse means anything and it can be used to contribute to your empiristic methods then you've just dug your own grave and thrown your credibility in it.

With 0 DRG merits, Polearm 9 levels under cap and nothing special outside of Homam and a 6 Hit, no I shouldn't. That's also not the point of that parse, the relevance of one parse should be taken with a grain of salt when trying to make generalizations about job potential/ performance.
