I did this all wrong, it took my 2 cats over a year to get used to each other, but the new one was used to living outside and is a feisty runt and my older cat is used to being a indoor cat with no one to hog his attention from me.

They used to hiss and growl at each all the time until the new cat decided she was going to sleep in his bed...he bolted across the room and flipped her and the bed up in the air with one paw. After that Long Older Cat was back to Numero Uno (in his own mind, he already was for me) and Young Runt was a hissy little bitch, but she knew who was in charge. It was funny when it finally happened, but the year leading up to that incident was a real trial to not kill the Young Runt. Hell, she still earned herself the almost got taken to the SPCA ranking just last year, little hellion.
